Just added another ten or so DFT to the main post as i have now got all my DU comics completely databased.
Take 1 whole year to get spot on.
The only problem i have now is the amount that are sat over in the US that i havent crossed off my list
So im being careful on some and others i guess ill just bite the bullet and have to have doubles if need be.
I still look at this thread from month to month and love what we did, but now i need to get back on the excel checklist road again.
Speak soon Deadites.
Just DU it !!!

I came down here to add Eagle to your list.
But brother J got in their first.
Are you serious that it reprints 2000 AD stuff.
Really?
Up to about issue 350, havn't looked in all of them. Only cover and centre spread was colour. Maybe when it went monthly it did the reprints? 1989 on.
Draco, do you know any good links to the 80's eagle stuff. I have surfed for two days and not found any lists, or release dates. Don't even know what the last issue is.

These guys had the right to publish 2000ad reprints and became Quality comics ( owned by Des Skinn of Warrior mag & Comics international) they had about three years of books and didnt do too many.
Ill check on the links for you too.
Eagle eventually became a monthly before it demise, the last issues being a real bugger to obtain.

Well Robotech is 3 different anime series turned into one American anime series so it makes sense that they would have an anime/manga influence to their non-Robotech titles.Brother J wrote:Here's the Academy Comics list of titles, from Mile High:Cyberstrike wrote:You should add Acid Rain Studios/Academy Comics they published Robotech comics after Eternity/Malibu lost the license and vampire and gothic horror comics at least acording to wikipedia.

I was do some reading about Robotech and remembered Academy Comics (I used to have some of them but I doubt I have them anymore), the quality of the art was not very good and the stories ranged from crap to good. I might be harsh on the stories because at the time I read their Robotech comics I didn't have access to the whole TV series at the time, and Robotech has such a rich and complex backstory and characters and the property wasn't being watched by Harmony Gold (it owners) very carefully or much at the time. Here's the Acid Rain Studios list:

I knew nothing about Acid Rain Studios which was what the company was called before getting the Robotech licence.

Oh I don't know if you can be too mature within your own collection. Take myself for example, I place in my Dead Universe boxes Iron Man vol II stuff as well as that Liefeld Captain America that continues to stink up the place to this day. I may be stretching the seams but with this revival of DU characters all over the place, it seems like the Dead Universes Section is in a slight state of flux.Draco wrote:This may be a bit premature for the DU section at leat until they officially announce it, but i have them on a separate list anyway as they are so awesomeCyberstrike wrote:Here's another one: Burlyman Entertainament.

There is nothing wrong with personalizing your Dead Universe collection, that's the magic of it. But now if someone were to try and out me as far as my Heroes Reborn Iron Man and Captain America sections, I guess I would just shrug it off because I don't have a box for the sloppy Sh!t that Liefeld turned Captain America into for over a year.
I think we should do a think tank and make a very managable and adaptable set of rules that describes at what time in a titles life or death does it become a Dead Universe. Those discussions could probably be found within these hallowed halls but that line of thinking is older now and recently we have had some strange points come up so I think a re-look at what makes a book turn into a Dead Universe.
In fact, lets try this out...

I had no idea, but im not much into following movies like i do comics, though in their case apparently that wont help you anyway, what with the lack of apperances etc, but hey each to their ownxodacia81 wrote:Has anyone here heard about the Wachowskis? No that i know of, but they seem to be blowing their own trumpet something rotten, maybe they think people have forgotten how they never finished Bazooka Jules, which to be fair was their most popular title.ian_house wrote:Anything of interest?Draco wrote:Going to remove Com X from the list as they seem to want to play again.

Now in taking into consideration the number of dead universe titles out there shall we also include alternate reality dead titles. Just think in some parralell universe DC and Marvel either collapsed or never existed. In others Valiant just bought out DC or Marvel and is marking the event with Unity III: The Multiverese Is Not Absolute!
