San Diego 2005 Convention Updates?

Just returned home from the con, had a great time, picked up two new pieces of art for my collection (a michael golden page with Batman and Ras al Gul and Talia on it and a Tom Yeates Aztec Ace cover).

Oh, yeah, the valiant stuff....

Met everyone at the panel. small turnout with the crowd, but it was fun to see bernard chang, van hook, sean chen, howard simpson, calaifiore, ramos and maurice fontenot in the same room good. Good reminicing. I knew that van hook had a killer memory, but didn't realize how well bernard's was on dates and place and names. Good to meet greg, chris (knight 333)and k_c collectibles, and anyone else that I've forgotten. We all had a nice time chatting and would love to make this first annual perhaps part of a new tradition. Knight and were going to try to meet up later the next day, but timing wise it didn't work out.

Oh - and i should add that greg should have a limited supply of cool specially signed pieces from this get together, with everyone;s autograph that was there.

A few memories: Howard Simpson telling how he designed Bloodshot's look, and one of the Rais (which I didn't know), a former intern showing up and telling us that he had more fun at valiant than at marvel back then (and saying that we didn't abuse him, which was nice to hear).

Thanks to everyone for putting the reunion together. It was fantastic to see that many of the old gang in the same room.

Yeah...What the hell was talked about at the valiant panel...what did VIP talk about...these are the real questions...cant wait to see the signed stuff that comes back, and it is good to see some of the old valiant folks checking in with us...now if I can just figure out a way to get to the east coast version.

Well, the way i see it either the silence or lack of info means nothing or it could mean alot.So sit tight good folks and cross your fingers.
