Especially Bliss comics will have several Valiant artists in attendance. There will also be a black and white version of Bloodshot Salvation in big format.

Among the guests I recognice Frank Miller (Unity covers), Andy Kubert (one of the Magnus cards), Neal Adams (variant covers), Dan Jurgens (Solar) and the big VEI names Lee Garbett, Trevor Hairsine, Mico Suayan, Tomas Giorelli and Clayton Henry. Is Terry Dodson the same artist who did a variant cover for X-O Manowar 25? The site also lists Pat Masioni as a Valiant artist - is that correct?

Is there any Valiant artist I missed?

Any hope we can arrange a small meeting of Valiant fans at the con?

I see Stefano Gaudiano is listed. He's done a bunch of inks for VEI.

Having a great time in Paris. The bliss booth / translate valiant into French was amazing.
Magnus brought so much , he broke 3 different bags in the way back to the flat.
Every artist was really fantastic, loved to chat and talk. Amazing sketches!

Have to post some pics when I get back. Must say Bliss is a great representative for Valiant.

Anything cool that Bliss is putting out at the convention? I'd be happy to pay $$ or do a trade!

Nycjadie. I am travelling super light.
I brought 1 trade at the convention- that’s it.
Will buy another for you - it is an oversized black and white version of bloodshot salvation.
Limited to 100. I cannot que for micro sketch - but will ask him just to sign.
The que for a Mico sketch took nearly 2 hours? 1 1/2 hours? Cannot stay that long today - as visiting family.

Mico is the artist, I typed micro by mistake.
Do you want it signed to your real name?

Couldn’t get it signed, but managed a free ton for you and some comics.
As I brought the hardcover Mico stood up to leave.
I did get a sealed edition for you (most had been opened) mine was opened when I brought it.

You will open yours as it is amazing inside. Actually 500 printed . It’s really high quality.
Plus a little French erotica I picked up for you

I am on mobile data, will transfer photos of convention to Magnus latter. Or figure out new image hosting place.
Saturday was crazy busy, it was packed, I don’t get claustrophobic but stayed at the edges and was happy to leave.

I have to say Bliss is a fantastic representative of valiant. Beats any valiant attempt in the uk. Hands down the guy is on his game, every comic shop ( except one) is fully stocked with valiant hardcovers. Most department stores also stock them in the comic section ( common in France)Lee Garrett spoke highly of their stock and quality of the bliss hardcovers ( if you don’t believe me).

The booth was busy all the time. Never a pause. Glad I went Friday all day, no way I could have persisted the same way today with so many more people.

Thanks for sharing those photos Fletch, and it was great we could meet up. I'm afraid I could not help you on the Sunday, as there were pretty much no sketching. Just got a signature.

The convention was in a city park with canals

Immediately at opening on Friday, people started queueing at the Bliss booth

Where Tomas Giorello, Mico Suayan, Clayton Henry and Trevor Hairsine were signing and sketching. A few other Valiant creators could also be found in the artist alley.

Saturday there were a lot more people at the con generally and at the Bliss booth

Sunday was also busy, but I could relax at the QnA that Bliss arranged

I filled in the online questionaire for the Paris con.
Reviewing my experience.
I was positive about everything - but scathing on the organisation.
Lack of toilets, lack of food, not being able to leave and return to the convention site during the day.
Also stared rather than having two security/helpers scanning tickets all day. Double it or tipple it in the morning, for the first hour. Everyone is outside trying to get in. Then when the que is smaller, leave one or two scanning tickets as the other secuiry/helpers will be needed inside _ as that is where everyone now is.

I did mention how fantastic the comic distributors where and asked for more in artist alley.

Also told them how pathetic it was to not make available online the programme , especially as they had printed programmes on arrivale. Surely that would be a no brainer _ putting on the web site the programme of events.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Good points all of them. Mentioned them also.

On another note, we also visited comic shops and there were a few things I found interesting. Firstmost that Bliss had gotten their books into almost every shop we visited. Beautiful books that look good in the shelves of the shops. And generally how the market was geered towards hardcovers. And I got the feeling it also meant people were willing to pay more for their reading material than we are used to. At least prices were rather high at the con floor. Especially the dealer who had the most "normal" comics had unreasonable prices. Which he raised when someone asked about the price. I missed real bargain bins. The artists and Bliss were the real draw of the show.
