Comics conventions in Texas
So, I am most likely not going back to SDCC for a few years, and I was looking at Comic conventions in Texas (mostly San Antonio and Austic area). I saw the following
Austin Comic Con
Texas Comic Con
Wizard World Comic Con in San Antonio
Alamo Comic Con
Capital City Comic Con
Any of these worthwhile? How do they compare?

Wizard World is not much of a comic convention. It is mostly for getting autographs from that guy from that one show.
There is an up-and-coming Dallas Comic Con. They are getting bigger.

Dallas, huh. Bit far to drive maybe, but something to consider.

The Houston Con (formerly Space City Con) is a really well run convention.
I have a friend who says he will never return to Dallas Comic Con because of the way they treated people in costumes. I don't know the story behind it, though.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Houston is a bit closer.
