Long Beach Comic Expo - May 31st - June 1st

Post by Elveen »

So the LBCE is in 2 weeks. This use to be a 1 day show (with the big 2 day show in the Fall), but the show has grown so much they made the Spring show also a 2 day show. (sweet)

Not many Valiant guests, but David Baron will be there, so that is cool.

This is the busiest time of the year for me with regards to cons, but I'm stoked for this Long Beach show.

I was wondering if any of the WCVC is planning to come by the con?

I know I told you already Elveen, but not gonna be able to make this one. Have a good show though, and see you the following week in Phoenix!

I am not going to be there. And I am super bummed that I'm not going to be in Phoenix, because one of my favorite comic book creators will be there and he gets so little attention, and who is this great comic creator you may ask? None other than Don Rosa of the Uncle Scrooge fame! I love Valiant but Scrooge McDuck was my favorite Disney character for a lot of very personal reasons and Don was the first Disney comic I ever picked up. So someone will have to hook me! I have autographed books but I have yet to meet him. So pm me and help a brother out! Other than that you guys have a great time representing West Coast Valiant! But who is gonna act as Dr. Mirage and handle the photos / video section? Lol

Ramses, can't be the photo/video guy, but can maybe get something signed for you by Don Rosa. Let me know what you were thinking.

Don Rosa is a great guy. He came to the Nashville Comic Expo last year. I got a signed print that is framed and hanging in my son's room. When I gave him the money for the print he said, "Thank you, but more importantly I need a handshake." He really exemplified how an artist should interact with his fans. He showed just as much gratitude to me and my son, as we did for his work.

Not going to make LBCE or Phoenix. Just have too many other things going on. I am especially disappointed not to be going to Phoenix, because I wanted to throw that BBQ and the guest list in Phoenix is UNREAL!!!! That show is getting to be a major one, just a step behind Wondercon, and it is a small step! Next year I should be living in Phoenix though so I'll be there for sure!

Sorry you're missing Phoenix Jace. Not too sorry that I'm missing LBCC though... doesn't seem all that hyped up this time around. Hope it's good for all who attend, but didn't really sell me this time.

Hi Elveen, unfortunately I'm on the wrong coast for this show but can I message you to see if you can possibly help me out with something while you're there on Saturday?

Hated missing this, but I felt like crap and wasn't up to going out. Sucks cause I really wanted to get my Batman Confidential issues, tpb and Trinity Angels signed.
