Heroes Con 2014 (Charlotte NC)
June 20-22
Valiant had a nice presence last year, with Dino, Venditti, Fred, Atom, a bunch more.
Any word if they'll be back this year?
VEI Guest wise, there's listed
Matt Kindt
Brian Reber

I don't think Valiant is attending this year. I'll be there though and I'm trying to bring along Lewis Larosa.

I can't imagine Valiant not being there with the success they've had there the last few years. Why do you think they're not going to be there, Brian?
Re: Heroes Con 2014 (Charlotte NC)
Pretty confident Atom told me they were not attending this year.

This is not a good sign....
Re: Heroes Con 2014 (Charlotte NC)
I wouldn't read too much into it. There is a convention almost every weekend. Valiant is trying to attend more that they've never been to. If I remember correctly there was another con they are attending either the weekend before or the same weekend. I'm sure they'll be back to Heroes next year.
Also, I love Heroes, but last year the move to the larger space really killed traffic. Valiant was right up front too and it felt like nobody was going in and out. I think it did close to the same numbers they usually do, but you couldn't tell sitting there.

Re: Heroes Con 2014 (Charlotte NC)
The numbers were only slightly less than the year before which is pretty impressive since Stan Lee was there the year before and it was also the 30th anniversary of the con. I personally loved the fact that they opened both halls this year as did a lot of the creators and vendors I talked to. Valiant will be missed if they don't come.Reber wrote:I wouldn't read too much into it. There is a convention almost every weekend. Valiant is trying to attend more that they've never been to. Hail yeah!
Got the rooms booked, my tickets paid for and most of my commissions are ready to be picked up the first day.
Anyone have access to Clayton Henry? I'd like to get on his list as soon as possible, a pre-show sketch would be even better.

Re: Heroes Con 2014 (Charlotte NC)
I didn't even notice the Comic Con sub-forum on the site. Doh!
A week from today, I'll be in Charlotte for HeroesCon. Hope to meet some fellow Valiant fans. I'll be there with Darrell Taylor and Mike Myers. If you see me, I'm handing out free copies of the Valiant Podcast FCBD issue.
Us from last year's panel.

Sounds like the artists/writers there will have a panel WITHOUT VEI publishing. No gold book give aways...

Larosa, Kindt, Henry, and myself will all be sitting around the same area in the AA-600s.

You should bring yourself (and all of those guys you mentioned) to Memphis in September. I'll bring you BBQ.Reber wrote:Larosa, Kindt, Henry, and myself will all be sitting around the same area in the AA-600s.
Jerry Lawler will be there!

It's a small one day con that is new this year.
I didn't even know it was happening until Mike Norton tweeted that he was going.
