Oh hell I got passes again ... four days. Got lucky in open registration after getting skunked in returning registration.

Usually I drag some of the family along ... this year we are gonna do some Europe trip instead so it will be just me out there.

Congrats. Got no ticket, but probably just as well as it would have been difficult to fix the flight anyway.

Supposedly there is about a 6 percent chance in open registration. I usually make everyone in my family try for tickets to get a multiplier and this time I had a friend who tried as well. My wife's account was the one that popped so she bought a Sunday pass for herself (just in case) and four-day passes for me and my friend.

I don't think it's possible to completely game the system so I still get pretty lucky this time. It's a lot easier in returning reg (about a 50 percent or better chance per ID and three of us went last year) but I somehow missed there.

I'll probably just go early bird for the hotel this time (about $500 since I will be splitting a room) and get my plane ticket early (about $300) and have the whole trip paid for eight months in advance. I've spent a lot more on previous trips due to bringing 2-3 people with me and tacking on extra vacation time.

I plan on acting up when I arrive in San Diego, however.

The Comic-Con gods were kind got 4 day passes, it's been 5 years of no luck. Now it's just hotel and/or parking.

I always plan on coming for a few days, but sometimes it just doesn't work out for me. The whole process of tickets, rooms, etc. has really gotten to be no fun.

If it wasn't for the West Coast Valiant Gang I wouldn't bother to think about it at all.

Now, what night is the poker game this year? How about an early decision Greg?
