COMPLETE VALIANT COLLECTION(yeah, those TPBs too)

Post by Mark »

Ok everyone. I need your help and/guidance.

Back in the day like so many of you, I went for them....and I mean all of them.

While I do not have ALL of the trades, I have many of them(yeah, even the Harbinger 2nd) ,most of the VVSS, many of the Valiant voice newspapers and everything I own is NM/M. (Dont have the price variants sorry and some of the VVSS)

And I want to see how I can sell these with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. Yup, you read that correctly, 100% of the proceeds will be going to the non for profit national charity ComicBooks For Kids! which provides comic books to kids in hospitals and cancer centers across the country.

https://www.comicbooksforkids.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I know I can piece part this set and if I was going to do that,I would put these up on ebay, but honestly, I am ready to give these to someone whom you may know that wants an almost complete set(yeah there are even some mario books there too).

Appreciate any and all guidance and thank you all for your thoughts.

Mark

So, you are wanting to sell entire collection in one swoop instead of parting it out, right? I am super duper interested in that 2nd print TPB but cannot imagine being able to afford an entire collection.

Yup, a lot of people want that trade Same with many of the VVSS issues ...although at least those you see on ebay.

Obvious fall back to piece part this out and throw away whats left. Not anxious to do that given these are probably all 9.4-9.8s but we will see. Thanks for the note.

Well, I just so happen to live in the Chicago area! Let’s PM about pricing hopes/ expectations, and maybe we can set up a visit.

There may be a real gold mine here for some of you who are willing to pay market value. Yeah, I am aware of the CGC 9.8 opportunities for Harbinger, EW and Rai and a few other which I could always do. Yeah, I have Super Mario #1, Diamond TPB, Harbinger 2nd print TPB all in all totaling 790 VH1 comics, all crisp, glossy and NM/M. I think in the entire VH1 run I may be missing a total of 6 VVSS books, price variants and a couple trades.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many people have the complete and total VH1 run?

I almost do. I am just missing the 2nd Diamond TPB, the 2nd print Harbinger TPB, Bloodshot Platinum 0 (despite meeting a seller’s asking price for a CGC 9.8 here on the boards who just disappeared afterwards) and a few of the newstand variants. I am missing one of the 4 Nintendo Illustrated action books, Cheesasaurus Rex 2 and Kenny and the Hip Hop Kid 1.

Congrats Magnus! I think at last count, I was missing ten. The 2nd Diamond TPB as well. The 2nd print Harbinger is tricky because there is really no way to know unless you open it up. I think there are quite a few out there.Grabbed mine many years ago.

Regardless, I believe you have a few more then I do. Not sure how many Nintendo issues there were and it has been a while since I have checked mine. Everything I have is NM/M but still you almost have them all! Congrats again.

This is the Nintendo checklist if it helps I included the WWF and Other Valiant books as well. Other than one HC (need the Mallard Logo on spine) and the Battle Against Bowser Illustrated Action book I have all the Nintendo in raw and half again in CGC 9.8 (which reminds me I owe Greg scans of them).
