Figured it didn't hurt to ask if a fellow boardie owns this OA and maybe, possibly is looking to sell it. None of Norm's covers are on CAF so even if anyone has a clue where any of them might be (my guess - legendary black hole collection never to be seen again...) that'd be cool to know.

Birthquake didn't save VALIANT - but it sure had some great covers!

It was kinda sad.

After Acclaim bought Valiant, they did a big promo/marketing push and the publishing arm used that Acclaim money to hire big name creators. Greg or one of the true historians can provide more behind the scenes info but I always assumed it was the editorial team at the time thinking that the homegrown talent who'd done so much good work wasn't what was needed to save the line. Don't get me wrong - I was one of the guys that was excited to see Breyfogle, Bart Sears on X-O, Dan Jurgens on Solar - but it was literally the event that killed the line. (Albeit - by that point I think death was just about inevitable, but Birthquake finished it...)
