Nice, but waay too much $$$. Can't imagine many people being interested at that kind of price.

Did a search. Neither the home page of the sculptor nor the distributor mentions Turok. Some stores says "as seen in the Turok game". Could be a Turok connection as these are the people who did the Shadowman statue, but it looks like the ebay seller is just dropping names. Cool statue either way.

Does the Shadowman statue say "Acclaim" or "Shadowman" somewhere right on the statue?

A translation from the auction text:

Nazi:
Auftraggeber: ACCLAIM ENTERTAINMENT LTD.

Sculpture: STUDIO OXMOX

!!! ZERTIFIKAT MIT ORIGINALUNTERSCHRIFT VOM DESIGNER MARC KLINNERT VON STUDIO OXMOX !!!

English:
Client (better translation: 'contracting entity'): ACCLAIM ENTERTAINMENT LTD.

Sculptor: STUDIO OXMOX

The offered figure is an original from Muckle Mannequins!
This copy is indeed a special piece!
The Raptor is one of the first to be produced as a promotional figure for the game Turok Evolution!
He is number 87 out of 200, and is certified!
! CERTIFICATE WITH ORIGINAL SIGNATURE OF DESIGNER STUDIO BY MARC Klinnert OXMOX!

It could very well be name dropping as Magnus mentioned but I believe the Acclaim Shadow Man statue was of German manufacturing, so I Turok statue or similar like this dino may not be far fetched.

Here's the company website:
http://www.mucklefiguren.de/content/e4/index_eng.html

Under "Life-Sized Figures" there are multiple dinosaurs. The one on eBay is Deinonychus RA-1.

Deinonychus RA-1
http://www.mucklefiguren.de/content/e2/ ... x_eng.html

Deinonychus RA-2
http://www.mucklefiguren.de/content/e2/ ... x_eng.html

T-Rex Head
http://www.mucklefiguren.de/content/e2/ ... x_eng.html

Prices are listed here:
http://www.mucklefiguren.de/content/e4/ ... gl_eng.pdf

There are 2 T-Rex heads and they're 3,200 and 3,100 euros each! :o

The RA-1 and RA-2 seem huge. Each has listed weight of 22kg.

For some reason, I was under the impression that the Acclaim Shadow Man statue wasn't officially licensed. :hm:

Wasn't it more like that it was licensed by the German branch? Anyway it is the same companies this time as well, just that they don't mention Acclaim on their web page for the dinosaurs as they do for Shadowman.

My impression as well. This appears to be a possible video game promo similar to the Raptor claw :? But at least that had Turok emblems etched on it.

I wonder if it says Acclaim or Turok anywhere on the numbered certificate. Too bad they don't have a copy of the certificate.

That auction has been there for over 2 years, doesn't look like it says Acclaim anywhere. Would have been nice..

Even if it did say Acclaim on it, would anyone be even remotely interested in it at that price?

If it said Acclaim on it, I was just going to save the pictures onto my computer.

I think a full size dinosaur would be incredibly neat but yeah, too pricey!
