ooooooooooo! Battletoads is one of my favorite NES games :thumb:

and yes, i agree with you. the ad thing is pretty stupid ... i suppose that's their way of not having to ship magazine subscriptions at media rate.

I got some books in the mail from JonesyAZ and not only were they in great shape and at a great price BUT the package included this nifty, hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind, SHADOWMAN exclusive variant mailing label (for sale now, only $199.99).

Check it out! (names and places have been changed to protect the innocent)

I want to give props to Mark, aka "StarBrand." I met him in person yesterday here in Phoenix as he offered to give me the iBooks "Magnus Robot Fighter" for free :) He ended up also giving me 10 minty copies of "H.A.R.D. Corps" #1 (per our discussion on the "hoarding" thread), so I guess now i'm officially a hoarder...lol. I also got a free copy of Mark's "Surprising Theater" #2. I have yet to read it, but the quality is TOP notch!

I also gave Mark some books that I had extras of in my journey to complete my VH1 set, since by my nature I am an "anti-hoarder" (only like 1 copy of everything). But again, I do thank you StarBrand for the extra copies of the H.A.R.D. Corps book! Very awesome!!

Thanks again!!!

Thank you for the kind words on the art, guys :) At one point in my life I wanted to become a professional comic creator. My path has since changed, and I have a LOOOONG way to go in getting my chops back up to speed. But I do still enjoy the occasional picture here and there :)

Thank you, my friend :)

I also have to give KUDOS to Imagesowner2, aka Ryan :) I purchased a copy of Psi-Lords #1 Gold. The USPS miffed up the first shipment, but Ryan was kind enough to send another one to me, which I received yesterday. The condition is amazing! I now am the proud owner of 5 Gold books!!!

And whoever it was that told me that I wouldn't be able to stop with one Gold book, you are correct!!

BUT...I can't stop buying from nice folks like all of you...THAT is worth more than the actual product.

Thanks again!!!!

KUDOS to Dellamorte!!!!

When I received my copy of "Playing God" from Mr. 'morte, he included a free copy of the Fan Project Solar #10 that was an extra from the signed Solar #10 board project y'all did a few years back.

I could not believe it at first...what an AMAZING piece of art, seeing Don Perlin's pencils for this book, and the custom cover...just awesome.

Thank you SOOOOOO much, Della :)

Thanks comicguy (man, have I not been buying short boxes of books from you for like YEARS now ? )

You know it, Friend.

Ian, please click here:

viewtopic.php?p=680088#680088

and any others who wish to follow but I do not want to derail this great thread.

PLEASE, if you have gotten something cool from somebody as a gift or had a great trade or a great transaction (you know we have probably THE most generous board members on the internet), please post it here in the Kudos section... I think it is very important to give a nice shout out to those who have been kind to one another. You will notice, "I" have posted a lot in this thread... meaning we have one hell of a board in my opinion. I really hope that at the 'end of the day' that I will have given MUCH more than I have received. It is a blessing to have so many generous board members, I really do not feel worthy of the many things I have gotten over the years. Wow, that would be a thread to start eh ? (from my POV that is)

BIG TIME KUDOS and a huge THANK YOU goes out to Comicsyte for the package I got in the mail today, included inside was a SOLAR MINI PIN (whoo hoo my first PIN !!!), a Solar #1 Variant, a DF Solar Statue from back when and a GREAT small assortment of comics (Avengers #7 hmmmm ?) Him and I have this like monthly trading thing going on and to me it feels like Christmas every month !!!!

THANKS Comicsyte (OH and another groovy fact ? Comicsyte donates to the CF fund raiser online donation webpage once a month, EVERY month !!! This dude is rockin' it and looking for a cure)

On a serious note, my daughter Alyssa who has CF asked me today if we had found a cure yet because she didn't want to take her medicine any more......................... sorry, took me a second to collect myself. I said "Daddy and other men out there are working very hard on making sure the doctors are able to find a cure for CF as soon as possible." She hugged me, kissed my hand and said, "Thanks Dad" and then beebopped off to hear bedroom for a round or two of SpongeBob.

She has never done that before or brought CF up like that. She is becoming more aware and self aware every day. I hope that it is YEARS before she finds out it is a fatal disease but they way I am hoping, we will have a cure here sometime soon and those worries will never pop into her pretty little head. But I know one thing, people like Comicsyte and Elveen are making a difference every MONTH, doing auctions, making donations, kickin' CF to the curb.

I sure hope we find something soon... I see my reason to keep on fighting every single day where to me, every kiss and hug is a blessing.

Again, thank you Comicsyte, expect a package to be on your door step here very soon, bro... I just wanted to give a shout out here in the kudos section !!!

Kudos to Knightt

Post by aggr1103 »

I thought I had done this already. Maybe I thought about it and then assumed I did :o

Anyway, HUGE kudos to Knightt for hooking me up with a huge lot of Daredevil comics. This group filled a huge gap in my collection, and I now have a near complete run of Daredevil from Frank Miller's first work on the character to the end of the Fall from Grace storyline.

Thanks so much man!

Chris ........

I have typed and re-typed my response to this a few times and I just can't get it right.

I guess I'll just say thanks for posting and sharing this. The 2010-2011 CF sketch auctions will be starting very soon.

I have BIG hopes for this year.

I also will be headed down to the Long Beach Con again this year, so Lord willing, more sketches on the way.
