heres a description zephyr would love:
THIS BOOK IS HARD TO FIND AND IN GREAT CONDITION.
There is slight wear on the right side lower & upper corners of the dust jacket. Also there is an approximately 1 1/2" tear on the top left corner and a 3/4" tear on the lower right corner of the dustjacket.
so which is it? great condition or wear and tear?

I'm not sure where this goes, so I'm asking it here--is there a fold on the cover or do you think it's due to the lighting?

Very hard to tell for me. I'm actually leaning toward yes - just because the top shadow seems to line up with where folds would be judging by the glare on the hands. Still, for the asking price, it's not bad. I'd probably ask the seller. That way if there is no fold, you might wind up with a bargain.

No, I don't see a fold. Ask the seller.

I didn't realize VF/NM copy would sell this high but the Spiderman vol2 #36 black cover is already a key book in the run. World Trade center issue and it's done very tasteful. Add to the fact that it has a black cover with notoriously shows even the slightest damage and you have a crowd pleaser. Definately a great book to ownx-omatic wrote:I didn't know these were selling so high.

I didn't win it (if I did, I would've put it in the bragging rights thread). I had it in my watch list and completely forgot all about it. I'm just suprised that it went for that little, especially considering this other auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 55062&rd=1davidb wrote:Very hard to tell for me. sydney_1015 is a bidder on one of my auctions.depluto wrote:Check out the shill bidder ...
Thats how I found the auction. He is a zero feedback bidder on my Rai auction and I was thinking about canceling his bids.

I used this search:
http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/AdvSea ... findtype=3
Doesn't seem to have any logic to the bidding.
I was thinking about something very strange with a bid history like this. What if eBay had a program that created new users that bids up auctions so they get more "final auction fees". I don't see how they could get caught. They might even be doing this already.

Anybody noticed this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1
I checked on the bidding history for this, and noticed that an unregistered user still had a bid on the auction. Last I remembered, eBay automatically took any bidders off if they were bidding, and got a suspending non-paying bidder warning.

And is this just a mistake, or is somebody really really wanting this variant?
