One must wonder... with these things going for the prices that they go for, there must be hundreds of people going through everything (cookies, crumbs, rusty nails, burned wood) to think of what they could put on ebay. Next thing you know doritos will put out a line of "Pope's hat" chips. And Oreo will shape their next box of cookies to look like mario.

Someone at the company will find out and of course put the item up on ebay as "deformed" or whatever and make a couple hundred extra.

"Potato that looks like Ronald Regan"

"Solar 10, with faint image of Jim Shooter"

"Scratches that resemble Jon Lennon on Beatles Album"

which of these have actually been tryed and failed?

Man, you want to laugh at stuff like that, but when you really think about the situation it's just plain sad.

when I first saw that I thought, *SQUEE* hell i need to buy doritos. But you're right its really sad, I can honestly say that even that type of money wouldnt tempt me into being part of that. If I found a jesus dorito I would eat it.

I think you should eat the "Jesus Dorito" and drink the worm in the tequlia bottle at the same time. I hear you'll get one hell of a buzz! Remember that next time you're partying with your midget friends... :thumb:

Amazing. No pun intended.

This is just mind blowing.

It looks like Spidey #300 is THE Marvel book of the 80's to own.

Wow.

Oh, and FYI...venom was announced as the new Spidey Villain...

Look for this book to top $200 in the next year.

Thank God I got mine for $15. Wish I'd bought 1000 in '88. :)

Wow.

Zephyr is right on target! As soon as the feeding frenzy kicks in the ASM #300 will skyrocket. I've often thought the price has been low for a major character (Villain/Hero in his own mind). Its been long enough to thin out some of the excess copies since 88, so supply will be less than demand (at least until the movie has been out for a while).

I'm glad that I don't need a copy since, I figure lower priced copies will be extremely hard to find in the near future. Good luck finding deals for people needing one. I wouldn't wait to long to start looking.

It is the Collectible Classics version that came out in 1998. 3000 copies. There's 4 for X-Men (#1, GS #1, #94, and #137), 1 for Avengers #1 (Heroes Return) and two for Spidey (McFarlane #1 and #300.) Retail was $9.95.

For some stupid reasons, certain 'collectors' sucked up the Spideys, and now they sell for stupid money. I bought several of each for $10, but sold them for $25. ;) Oops.

It's a Marvel Collectable Classic Book. They did two Spideys, 5 X-men and 1 Avengers. They all have really nice Chromium wrap covers, but the Spidey's go for mucho dinero compared to the X-men and Avengers.

For info's sake, the 5th X-men one was the Days of Future Past story (UXM 141-142) and had a sweet new Byrne cover.

I know this does not apply to comics, but I saw a pair of Puma shoes for my gf, and wanted to buy. 99 cents to start...
BUT WOW... $57 to ship.

I hate ebay because of these losers, and I hate Paypal because of the awful things they do to honest customers.

If I have a deal... you will get one.

PS...my other gripe... the US post office. Some customers don't get the fact that once a package is sent, IT'S out of our hands...
got a negative because a package was hung up for a month... customer was a real tool.

Anyway.... good luck..

Golden Palace Casino IS an online casino. All this stuff they're buying is just done to get attention, I'll bet.

That's cause you broke one of the ZWH Cardinal Rules: NEVER SELL ANYTHING less than 25 years old, unless it's 'the new hot flava' (Nyx #3, ex)

;)

No one's getting my 1980-up books unless they pry them from my cold, dead hands....:)

Here's two auctions for 9.6 graded ones:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 72080&rd=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 92606&rd=1

And a non-graded copy ended at $77.23:
