My wife was particularly excited when I got her some Wonder Woman original art featuring a pegasus but that is okay because she is a girl.

Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
It was partly a reaction to her wandering off at a convention and spending way, way more than was responsible on cover art from current Valiant. Then she claimed it was a birthday present (not even close and she has no excuse for forgetting - my birthday is the day after hers) so I had to buy her a gift out of defense. This is not the first time we have got separated at a con and she went out and spent more than was responsible on Valiant stuff for me but last time it was $40 on two books with like 20 signatures each, a Rai 0 and A&A/EW 8. Both instances were in Dallas.MarkRoseHFX wrote:normally i'd agree but there are no rules when it comes to dunlow tauntingChiclo wrote:Brony taunting works better when used sparingly. She showed me the art and I pulled out her iPad and showed her a thread where we were discussing that exact piece of art on the board.

I think I remember you telling that story on the podcast. I cracked up at that one. look on the bright side at least she hasn't been conned into buying one of those fake "variants".Chiclo wrote: This is not the first time we have got separated at a con and she went out and spent more than was responsible on Valiant stuff for me but last time it was $40 on two books with like 20 signatures each, a Rai 0 and A&A/EW 8.

Is it worth it to buy any of these new variants? Like even the real expensive "rare" ones. Because I get they're rare, but if its only the smalle number of Valiant fans who would ever want them are they worth the investment beyond being a completist collector?MarkRoseHFX wrote:I think I remember you telling that story on the podcast. Yes. Yes it is. I've been licking my wounds since my 5th place finish at the Valiant Poker game this year, but I'm back.

So what's the plan with Shadowman's creative team? Have you chosen a successor to Justin Jordan, mor are you still in the process of taking new pitches? I think the solicits for #11 and #12 look very promising thus far. Will you consider one of the 4 writers who put those together?

Apparently the VEI books have people talking, but I'm stuck at work and can't read them yet. Stupid work.
Question 1: Who's going to be taking over the reins of Shadowman after Justin Jordan's departure?
Question 2: Please send someone to MidSouth Con in Memphis, TN in March!
(what do you mean Question 2 isn't a question? I labeled it as such. Doesn't that make it a question?)

1. when can we expect the first non-reboot book featuring a character created after 2012 from valiant entertainment? is there something in the making or still behind the horizon..?
2. can we expect some (non-event-) mini-series in the foreseeable future? is this a format you guys believe in as a testing ground for regular series?
thanks!

As far as fantasy football goes, I make no promises. If I were a betting man, I'd keep an eye on Archer & Armstrong editor Josh Johns. He's from Georgia. Knows the SEC inside out. Big Jets fan. More news on Shadowman soon.

Hope you got to catch up on Harbinger # 15. It was pretty n-v-t-s nuts.
Q1: Stay tuned. More news soon!
Q2: That is not a question.

Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
I like 1st place. 5th can work if it's in the money. I did get a pretty sweet book, however. As for new characters, I was just talking about this yesterday with Josh, Alejandro, and Dinesh. we love new characters and we've got a ton of them running in the titles. we also are blessed with a deep bench. it's something we chat about all the time...krylox wrote:hey warren. congrats on the 5th place. still better than 6th, right?Warren Simons wrote:krylox wrote:is this active, anymore?

Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE
Good Day Warren,
Think it's fantastic that the fan base has an opportunity to touch base with the editorial like your self.
I do have two questions I was hoping you could speak to:
1. Would it be cost effective for you to use cover stock similar to IDW? I find, month after month it's difficult to find a book without cover issues.
2. I was taking a look at your merch for sale on the offical site - great stuff, but... I find the choice for some of the t-shirt designs a little odd. Was wondering what your thoughts were on a fan poll for your next t-shirt design.

Hi Warren,
Just one question,Since you guys are making movies as far as i understand from the video of Dinesh talking about it,but my concern is that since these different movies are going to different studios will there it be in a shared Valiant movie universe so as to come out with a Unity movie in the future??

OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWERS
Another quick question or more like a request.
Will you guys get rid of all the onesies in the valiant universe??
Why is a Voodo loa giving the Shadowman a biker onsie from the 70's??
Is the Loa a "Game of Death" fan,Is that why Shadowman is wearing the dark version of Bruce Lee's biker suit??
Why did Gilad Anni Pada stop changing fashion after the 70's and wearing a biker onsie suit from the 70's.
Is this some sort of conspiracy to include Bruce Lee as a fictional character into the Valiant Universe??!
Is Valiant Entertaintment secretly funded by Golden Harvest??
Is Dinesh Shamdasani actually Raymond Chow in disguise??
