Best deal for me is one of my own listings. Action Comics 1 1983 reprint is $90 with 4 hours to go. Biggest surprise for me in my collection.

Shouldn't be.

A.C. #1 in almost any guise is a hot-ticket right now. I'm not sure, but I think you're simply favored by the wake of the CGC 9.0 Blue Label copy that sold for over 3.2 million dollars last week :o .

Good fer you :wink: !

The crazy thing is that this is the highest auction price of any in the last 30 days for this printing. There were 2 buy it now prices that were higher. Not too shabby for a book that has never been bagged. I was going to give it to the boys to play with!

Mmmm, I don't think so, man. At least not from what I've seen over the last several months. The average lower-grade raw copy generally runs in the $90-range; so-called NM- to NM books average about $140; and anything even slightly tighter than NM can get pretty friggin' pricey, like this'n that ended just last night for almost $270:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider- ... 2113wt_778" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Granted, that was described as a 9.6 to 9.8 copy, so if it truly is, that pricing's pretty much justified, given what it can pull slabbed.

I personally sold three raw copies for an average of about $135 each...and that was four years ago.

If I could get a legitimate high-grade (NM+) to premium (NM/MT) raw copy for $175, I'd snag it in a minute.
I'm with you here Bloodshot and actually, at shows (especially) the big ones... ASM #300 can go for BIG bucks! I think you are low.

I've only ever had one #300, I sold it this year in phoenix. It went above all the prices you you guys have mentioned in this thread.
And yet another NM raw copy goes for $270 DELIVERED via BestOffer:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... zEjfIZQ%3D" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And then this one for $285 :bugeyed: :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spiderm ... 7675.l2557" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

***Take note of the seller's second pic, which shows the LRHC of the front cover.

See how horribly (mis)cut that is? For almost three hundo :? ? I don't *SQUEE*in' think so, homey :screwy: !!
That ASM 300 is frequently horribly miscut. However, I still don't understand why that book is so expensive. :?

Never thought I'd own a ASM #31 or #50 before I had a #300
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.

Cool! I got a low grade with shop stamp on the cover from Australia or new zealand ebay to my parents in Australia ~ $5.50

So to get one for a buck is great!

Part of another collection I brought for £200, I got every moon night apperance, and comic series untill 2008 (amongst other things) I thought the first appearance would be trashed ~ but a friend graded it at 8.5.

Still, to get one for a buck :high-five:
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

Don't know about the condition of the book, but you can get a action comics reprint here.

EDIT ~ wrong reprint issue. this is the drink version ~ I think. Or the original :hm:
was going to delete.
Should do, this is bragging area.

I will go now :cry:

This is a low-grade copy for sure, but I'm happy to add another major key into my collection.
