Some oddball CGC books listed this week during .10 listing day, wish I would have had more time to list stuff, maybe next time. Here's what I have up:

Maxx (Sam Kieth) lot: #9-11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 21, 22, 33 and Friends of Maxx #1 NM copies

here's the link to all my auctions:

I've been looking for a New Mutants 98 ... Just may have to watch this one!

If you have more key (minor or major) books graded at 9.8, let me know...

Holy warehouse finds, Batman! I expected this to be the only copy of this book in the CGC census when I looked it up, but holy crud! There are 22 of these graded, including 7 9.6s and **13** 9.4s. I can't find any other issue of this title with a grade above a 8.5, or one with more than a couple books graded!

Can I ask you the story with this book, J?

I don't know much about the history. I bought this off eBay with a BIN. The seller (eBay ID barginbox) had several of these in similiar condition. I'd say you're right on the money with it being a warehouse find, but I have no idea who found them or where the find was.

My first thought is that it was a "Mile High II Collection" book,
but after researching... none of those were prior to 1966.

Still... I thought this one sounded familiar...

According to a post I made on the CGC boards...
17 copies of the book in 9.4 or better were graded
between 7/17/2003 and 8/13/2003.

Looks like they 'came out of the woodwork' last year,
but haven't really been submitted much before or since.
I guess someone out there had several copies in high grade,
and probably pre-screened them for 9.4 or better.

thanks for the info, Greg. I know the seller blew two of the 9.6's out quick with Buy it Nows, so the next one he ran as a regular auction. He got about the same amount, give or take a few bucks.

Well, it's still crazy tempting at $50. I was trying to put together a millie run, including this title, before I bought the "NorthHampton" collection. Now I'm just trying to buy food! :D

These are ending tonight, absolutely no bids on anything yet, even though I have quite a few watchers. Either everyone is waiting for the last second to bid or waiting to see if I was going to lower my prices. I probably won't list these again anytime soon if they don't get bids tonight. Thanks for looking!
