I got my Primer #2's (I have two of them) when Zilla on eBay was blowing them out, I think he came across a warehouse find of these because he listed about 20-30 Primer #2's on eBay at the same time. I think I paid less than $20 for the two I got. Great deal. I also got my set of the original Grendel #1-3 using a $5.00 BIN, one of my biggest eBay steals ever! :D

Yeah I picked up the Primer #2 so cross that off. Still trying to get HC Devil by the Deed and War Child at a reasonable price.

A cool Grendel item you might not be aware of is a slipcase that was released by Comico called "The Comico collection". If I recall correctly, the slipcase had an image of Grendel on it and the set also contained some type of exclusive Grendel comic along with a bunch of other Comico books and promo items. I remember having this back in the day and thought it was pretty cool. Comico was an awesome comic book company, shame they went out of business.

Yeah, and I bid against you. ;)

You know, I didn't win a SINGLE DAMN one of those F/VF to VF/NM copies they had?

DARN YOU!...DARN YOU ALL TO HECK!

And Joe K.'s STILL trying to get $70 for 'em. Silly man.

And I remember that $5 bin..OUCH that still smarts. ;)

I'm looking for a copy of Comico Primer #2 if anybody has an extra they want to part with. Interesting that I resurrected a decade-old thread! I found a Grendel #1 (1983) in VF- for sale for $45. Good deal to pull the trigger on?

I picked up a couple of copies in the 2007 or 08 timeframe and that would have been right around the right price shipped then. I have not shopped around much since then, however, and could not offer fresher insight.

I never read Grendel when I was a kid and picked up the archives to finally check it out. It's great so naturally I'm trying to track down a first appearance.

I bought a Comico Primer a year or so ago from Escapist Comics in Berkeley. I had it pressed and graded at a 9.0, which was a great buy given the price for it now. Escapist had 2-3 other copies. I bet they would hook you up if you called them.

Bump. :bump: Sadly, Escapist Comics didn't have a copy. So I'll give this a final try and not occupy good real estate at the top of the threads much longer. If you've got a Comico Primer #2 you want to part with, let me know!
