a beat to hell unlimited Lotus still hits $700 without trying. Compare this to sales of any tough to find CGC book in 9.8 and the multiples it hits of the 8.5 price. These are tough cards to find in this kind of grade. Not saying I'd buy it, or think it's worth the asking price, but a sale at 50K wouldn't even make me blink. This might not be as outrageous as it looks.

It's a beautiful card given its rarity, condition and age. Personally, I think $50k is a fair price and will probably look like a bargain down the road if MTG continues to be popular.JohnnyRnR wrote:a beat to hell unlimited Lotus still hits $700 without trying. Not that I would buy it (or afford it) at $50k.

Maybe more than $200k. The asking price for a Mox Pearl (the least desirable mox) is $200k.greg wrote:What would the original art sell for?

And the Mox art is far less interesting/attractive. Plus Frazier frequently used those weird computer generated backgrounds. Rush pieces kind of tended to be iconic. Early Magic art was nice, particularly Tedin, Rush, and Maddocks (sp?) in that set.iggy101us wrote:Maybe more than $200k. I always like both Phoglio's 9sp) and Julie Baroh too.JohnnyRnR wrote:And the Mox art is far less interesting/attractive. Plus Frazier frequently used those weird computer generated backgrounds.
