how IndieBrit discovered Valiant!

Yo greetings from England! My Valiant Story...

Basically in the last few weeks I have been trying my hardest to get serious about my love of comics and was had been buying stuff like "Nightwing" and "Green Arrow" cause I had never read DC outside Batman. Well I walked passed this discount publishing place in Southend where I go to college. I went in for a look and found they had this sale on some old comics. It was 50p or 5 for £1 so I said I'll have some of that. There was some DC and one marvel but I picked up a Turok Dinosaur hunger (Issue 11) and a X-O Man O War (Issue 15 which interestingly features Turok) and two Bloodshot (Issue's 4 & 5). I ended up by 10 books but at that price I wasn't moaning! £2 for ten when the prior day I got nightwings for £3.10 but anyway. I was dissapointed with my Issue #1 of Mission Impossible that I also bought so I turned to Bloodshot next and was I surprised. I loved it. Then i read X-O and loved it too. and I haven't actually read Turok yet but I don't see how I won't love it. There all very original. I am now a very big fan of Valiant. Kind of wish they where still around.

Welcome to the boards and thanks for sharing your story! :thumb:

I have a question for you - are the books that were printed across the pond different from the versions peinted here? I mean is the pricing in pounds on the cover or in American dollars?

Just wondering - I am trying to collect all the foreign variant covers...

Thanks for your help - it is appreciated!

Post by IndieBrit »

Well my covers are priced in $ and canadian money and are all like american adverts and stuff - I think in Britain we get the same as America cause I know all my DC and Marvel stuff is exactly the same

Thanks for the reply - that was quick lol

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
