i'm new here
hi everyone. longtime valiant fanatic here. i'm not a big "internet guy" but i recently discovered this board and really like it.
my story is i grew up in chicago in the '80s a typical marvel zombie until i discovered valiant right around harbinger #1. it quickly became my favorite universe. i remember being devastated when shooter was pushed out and i ended up losing interest around the acclaim purchase.
i've been a major fan since the relaunch, i've read everything they've published and i still think its the greatest universe in comics. especially with the turn dc & marvel has taken. i barely read anything they put out anymore. still enjoy plenty of image books but i'm definitely the "valiant guy" at my shop here.
i always loved the future timeline stuff so no surprise rai has been my favorite series published since the relaunch. and my favorite single issue has to be book of death: fall of harbinger. it may even be my favorite issue of any comic ever. what a masterpiece.
a little about me -- i've been living and working in hollywood for 13 years now. major movie buff, but more on the artsy side. not a big fan of most "blockbuster" entertainment. huge nba fan, and a big comic geek of course

Welcome to the party of people enjoying an alternative choice to modern Marvel & DC fare - I was followed much the same pattern as you. Grew up on Marvel, hooked on Valiant the first go-round but petered out slowly after the acclaim purchase, and then came back (and stayed back) for the relaunch.
