VEI brought me back
Or more specifically, X-O Manowar brought me back. This was the book that introduced me to the Valiant universe in 1992 and I was hooked - although that really only lasted until 1994 when I stopped buying comics entirely. The Valiant universe always stuck with me though and I checked in every once in a while to see what was happening with my favourite characters. I'm pretty sure I've seen various incarnations of this website over the years. Acclaim never interested me, but when I somehow heard that Valiant might be starting again, I started paying closer attention. News was scarce at first. I picked up the initial Harbinger: The Beginning HC collection when it came out, but missed the X-O Manowar and A&A collections (of course I have them now). I heard about a couple of guys who were trying to obtain the rights to all the Valiant characters and try to publish again (these guys were heroes!), but didn't stumble across anything more for a while until I discovered that the first issue of X-O Manowar was already on the shelves. Well that did it. I tracked down a copy and was hooked right back in. Opened up my old longboxes and filled the holes in my VH1 collection and started collecting the new VEI books. Been trying to resist buying variants ever since (largely without much success).
So that's how I ended up here. Been reading for a while. Thought I'd finally say hi.
