Humble Made Me Do It!
I have been one of those who grabbed the Humble Bundle of the Valiant comics. I am always a sucker for a good set of interlocking comics that take place in one consistent world (even though I also read DC and Marvel which don't fit that definition at all!).
I remember X-O Manowar from when it originally came out, but I never gave those "other" publishers much shrift back then. Now with Dynamite, Skybound, Aspen, and others putting out such fantastic stuff, I'm actually more disposed to read/collect you if you're a small publisher than if you're one of the big guys.
I've been reading through all of the TBPs that are in the bundle and so far love Bloodshot (even though he gets some damage that I just think any nanite worth its salt still couldn't fix!) and Harbinger. I normally collect single issues because I'm too impatient to wait for the TBP to be published, but reading the arcs collected into one book has been refreshing.
In the end, I just want to drop a huge Kudos to Valiant Entertainment for releasing their material in the bundle (and for the quantity thereof!). Without the Humble Bundle, I probably wouldn't have looked at Valiant's new material but I am very glad that I did!
