Hello fellow Valiant fans!

I don't remember the first title or the exact date I got my first Valiant book, but it was sometime in 1993 I discovered the Valiant Universe. Being about 14 yrs. old at the time, I didn't have a great deal of money to buy all the books I wanted. After being out of the comic hobby for many years, I found my old stash and am determined to finish my original Valiant set once and for all! And I'm a completist so this may take awhile. Would love to hear everyone's tips on how they collect and if any would be willing to share other good sources to obtain Valiant books other than the "bay"! (only interested in Original Valiant Universe books)

Anyways, hope to talk to y'all soon!

-Bill

Welcome to the boards. It's fun here as long as you steer clear of the Canadians like MarkRoseHFX. They're all evil and not to be trusted.

As for completing your collection of VH1 books, ckb hooked me up with most of my collection. Send him a PM.

Welcome! I recently built my third Valiant collection over again. The first I lost due to sheer poverty. The second by a flood. Hopefully, this will be my last! It's certainly the most complete.

Check out the "collections" section so you can track your progress.

Whew, I beat Bastos! I am not Dunlow!

Welcome aboard. If you really want to have fun, don't use Ebay. Visit every comic dealer in a 30 mile radius and do it old school. The hunt is the fun.

Hello Bill:

Welcome to the Board! I agree with the other comments that have been posted. Visit as many comic shops as you can and start digging through long boxes. Don't be afraid to ask for a discount, especially if you are buying lots of books. If you get worn out or your back gives out, you cannot go wrong with SonicDan, who maintains a Valiant smorgasbord:

Definitely use Greg's Comics Guide to help you track your purchases and to see what you are missing.

Best of luck! :thumb:

Welcome! I take it you are a Joe Casey fan!?! He's one of my all-time favorites. If you are just a fan of people named Joe Casey, check out the band Protomartyr whose front man is Joe Casey.

And I wholeheartedly agree with the others, hit up as many shops as possible. I'm not a completest per say, I've always been more about the hunt.
