I figured Kathryn didn't get fair value for those pieces. Those BWS pages are killer too. That's why I always prefer to buy directly from the artist.

Welcome to the boards. It's fun here as long as you steer clear of the Canadians.
Is it pronounced k"eye"n or "Ken"?
Also, I'm proud none of us took your "pitch a tent" comment and made a dirty joke with it. (Although I guess I just ruined that... )
The coloring at Valiant was one of the coolest things about Valiant.

Might be cool to get you to do a Rai sketch on the new Rai sketch covers!

Sorry I missed adding to the previous welcomes Kathryn.
Welcome belatedly then!
Quite possibly the coolest 'My VALIANT story' I have read. Any plans to keep us informed of any commercial ventures now you are back in the art-fold?

Ack! How did I miss this thread before now?!
Welcome Kathryn, awesome to have another Valiant veteran surface 'round these parts! Thanks for everything you did back in the day working on Valiant comics. I hope you're still enjoying this community of fans, its truly a great bunch. And I hope you are getting fairer prices for your work now too.
You must have been friends with JayJay back in the day [if not still] - I had the very distinct privilege of getting a drawing of mine coloured by her last year - something a few of us turned into a good cause by having a limited series of signed prints made up to help fundraise for surgery on her pet. I feel lucky to have befriended her in the process.
Here is a link to a thread on the boards with images of the print as we worked to produce, sign & ship it out to everyone who donated. Its another example of how awesome Valiant Fans can be.

Welcome Kyn!
Thanks for helping shape what is hands down my favorite period in comics. I hope to hear more about those early days.
