I really got into comics when I was 12 and 13 back in '92 and '93. I collected all the number ones and several variants. Then somewhere around '94 or '95 I stopped completely. I went from reading comics and wanting to be a writer to dropping comics altogether.

After college and several moves... (some of you won't forgive me for this, and I barely forgive myself now)... I threw ALL my collections into the dumpster (2003). Yep. I was done.

Then 2012 I was on a plane and playing on my iPad. I saw the comixology app and by shere curiosity I logged on to inflight wifi and searched for old comics that I had loved. They were all gone. I searched for more information and read about the comics market crash. I read about Jim Shooter. I read about Image turning into imprints. I read it all. Including the relaunch of Valiant. I didn't buy any comics right away, but my curiosity was piqued. One year later, I scratched the itch and bought some comics. Since then I have collected every Valiant since the relauch. I have been reading since last May-ish (2013).

Often, I find myself thinking of the story lines and so that is how I landed here. For the last couple of months I have read some of the forums and finally decided to register.

So from 1993 to 2013, a lot has happened since then and I find out that my love for a good story and good characters have not died out. Even my desire to write has resurfaced.

Here's to the teenager inside all of us!
I wrote a Shadowman Story for KINDLE WORLDS.

Welcome to the boards. It's fun here. You should avoid the Canadians at all costs.

If I win an argument, it doesn't mean I'm right. It means I'm a better arguer.

In addition, I'm right.

Welcome! Always glad to hear about old fans coming back into the fold. :thumb:

I think Image & Valiant are producing all the best story driven comics in the industry right now.
