Virgule 's french story of Valiant fan

Post by Virgule »

Hi i'm virgule, french fan and reader of comic book, i'm currently 31
I first started valiant because of the buzz in wizard (yeah all is not bad in it) and the hot issues... Yeah i was a bit in the collecting biz these days.

My first bit was an Harbinger 15.

My comic shop did not have a lot of valiant and they were pricey at that time.
I started eternal warrior and harbinger and rai and magnus and shadowman.

After a bit of money-down time i stop them just prior to chaos effect.

I got back to it a bit later cause i found them cheap in discount boxes and i manage to get most of the series ranking from the unity crossover to post chaos effect.
got a bunch of post chaos in some series..I read all of the series (except turok)

Sadly i musta throw them away since i had to move out a big house to a rather tiny small flat and lot of stuff went to the thrash bin (don't hit don't hit)

I kept my unity crossover, chaos cross and malev war , and some eternal warrior and a rather complete shadowman.

Acclaim came and i did not go into it a lot...it felt strange (and not lots of money also back then)
I went for solar (warren ellis is a fav of mine) shadowman for both new and past love (ennis rules too) which i left after delano stopped.

took the turok timawalker and the master darque (manco, love it since hellstorm) one shot and mini serie.

And that was about all.

Bit of years passed.. I grew more back to comics as regular paycheck came.

And then..

EBAY

I started for a bunch of stuff and started completing runs, finding issues cheap or not that i could never found in france..

So now i finished shadowman and eternal warrior, magnus and rai from valiant, got harbinger 1-25, visitor complete plus a bunch of others.

miss a bunch of eternal warrior accliam, some quantum and woody (priest rules) and going for turok and magnus at acclaim.

and of course the last shadowman vol3 (complete yeah)

one day if i got more space i may go for a full valiant era but now, i just try to finish the series i want.

Thanks for passing here and sorry about the mistakes in writing.

Cheers

voilà.

JB

I have only spent a few days there a couple of years ago, but a truly memorable, beautiful and friendly city.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

its cool that you got Harbinger 15 first. I consider 15 and 16 the best Harbinger story. :thumb:

I remember the same feeling when I first started getting a regular paycheck and I could afford to buy all of the monthly titles that I wanted to read :thumb:
