Here comes the Newb! Introduction thread?!? Here? Why?
So, I have no clue if it is appropriate to post here? But, any ways here goes nothing :
I am Steve, I am from Upstate New York, and I am a Cylon! After constant lurking of this board I decided to join! But, I am fairly new to the Valiant world. I hate to say it but as a kid I saw most these characters as unappealing; however I did start comic collecting in 1996 when Valiant's first wave was finished. Now as a Grown adult I have found these comics to be well....awesome! These books were way ahead of its time and cared more about quality v. quantity of the 90's comics (SHINY COVERS!, HOLOGRAMED COVERS, 20 VARIANTS! EXCLUSIVE TRADING CARDS and worst of all Rob Liefield!, and countless others mimicking him at the time). And I regret overlooking these awesome books. I have been reading these books online awesome story lines. I even ordered Archer and Armstrong's Sexy Hardcover like five minutes ago!
So I have been reading the New Valiant 2012, and I have not been disappointed yet, and it is easily better than most things that Marvel/DC usually puts out on a weekly basis. I can't wait to discuss and meet you all.
Other than that I am a single d00d who likes long walks on beaches, and I graduated college in 2010 in hopes of becoming a James Bond villain, I know they pay sucks, but the long term benefits totally rule.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome to the board!
We have a spot for "introduction threads" http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but that's mainly a hint for people to tell us their story in the first place, and then put them somewhere together.
It's always awesome when a new member doesn't even need to be prompted to spill his Valiant guts.

Long walks on the beach? I vote that we call him Scaramanga. Scaramanga had his own tropical island with white, sandy beaches. And a superfluous third nipple! d00d, do you have a superfluous third nipple by any chance?Daniel Jackson wrote:Welcome.CylonSteve wrote: and I graduated college in 2010 in hopes of becoming a James Bond villain, I know they pay sucks, but the long term benefits totally rule.

Hmm, I've been contemplating a bowler myself... like its 1922. Used to wear one when I was young (a girlfriend gave it to me), people told me I looked like Alex, from A Clockwork Orange. Of course, that was back in pre-historic times and I was a young skinny punk. Anyway, nice to see another hat fan on the board!CylonSteve wrote:I rock a top hat everyday like it was 1899.

Interesting choice. I have in the past described my skill set as worthy of a Bond villain. I thought I would wait for a lab accident to try my hand at supervillainy, though.CylonSteve wrote:Bond villain, is the only logical choice in today's economy.Daniel Jackson wrote:Welcome.CylonSteve wrote: and I graduated college in 2010 in hopes of becoming a James Bond villain, I know they pay sucks, but the long term benefits totally rule.

I chloroformed myself in the lab once. Forgot to use the vent hood. No superpowers though, so that sucked. I used enough carcinogens that I really thought I should have grown an extra limb or something. I guess I wasn't using enough radiation.

Ya Know, the Bond Villain Oddjob had a bowler (of sorts) master his skills no one would be messing with youjmatt wrote:Hmm, I've been contemplating a bowler myself... like its 1922.
