Welcome! Harbinger 1 would have been a great first Valiant purchase. The early Solars got me hooked with BWS art. I liked how they tied the old Gold Key character into a new storyline.

Yeah, that was neat how they even showed the Gold Key Solar covers in the Valiant comics.

Here goes...A long time ago in a galaxy, er, sorry wrong story.

I used to go the this little comic store near me, to pick up the latest Batman or whatnot. Well one day the guy who hung out there all the time (don't ask) told me I should try this new title just out...wait for it...Harbinger. Here I was holding the very first issue of one of the best valiant series (IMHO), and I say "nah, just give me the latest issue of -unknown marvel or DC comic" So skip ahead, Unity 0 comes out and I figure I'd give it a shot. Needless to say I loved it, and a lifelong obsession with Valiant began. I think everyone knows how hard it was to get anything pre-Unity (especially Harbinger 1 :!:) , I won't go into my own troubles. Well now its over ten years later, and I only just recently completed my P-U collection, thanks to ebay. Now I hear that Mr. Shooter is coming back to give us more Valiant goodness (Unity 2000 doesn't count), and I for one can't wait to get my sweaty little paws on it. Well that about it for my story, and I'll see you elsewhere on these wonderful boards.
