Remembering Valiant

Post by MissingValiant »

First of all, I can't comprehend why I didn't find this website earlier. This is great! I've had a sudden and unexplainable urge to read Valiant again after many years, so now I've ended up here.

It all started accidentally in 1993 when a friend of mine let me borrow X-O Manowar #0. I was blown away. How could a story get any better? It had barbarians, Roman pigs, aliens, and Solar. After that I was like,"X-Men? Who are they?" Seriously, I was hooked and started scouring the back issue bins for any Valiant book I could get my hands on. I still read comics to this day, but I will always remember the Valiant books as the best comics I've ever read (until Birthquake that is). I sincerely hope they make a comeback and that we'll get new stories that are just as good as Shooter's originals.

I think your board name expresses how we all feel. Hopefully soon there will be a new era beginning for Valiant.
