Another First Post/Long Fan/Longtime Lurker
Hey all, stumbled onto the site a while ago, read pretty much all of the articles, browsed the boards, and left, checking in occasionally to remember what the last issue of something was. Problem was, everytime I'd come here I'd read more and more of the boards, but I was trying really hard not to join another one (especially this one that seemed friendly and easy to use too much time on). Well, I gave in.
I'm not sure what my first Valiant was. I know my first issue of Wizard (when I was an appropriate age to read Wizard) was #7, newstand version so it had a Flash cover, but the poster was X-O from the direct market edition. I think it was talking about the upcoming Unity, which sounded pretty exciting. At the time, I was mostly reading various X-titles and Image books, but I resolved to look for Unity. I missed most of it, but I think I got A&A and Eternal Warrior. Shadowman #1 and Rai #1 were the first comics I ever received in the mail, $10 each if memory serves, from some company advertising in Marvel books with a stylized eagle as its logo. Back then my favorites were Shadowman and Eternal Warrior (ooh! they're so dark and gritty!). I managed to get together a chunk of pre-Unity before the market crashed at pretty reasonable prices ($10 was a lot for one issue for me at the time) and after it crashed I got most of the rest of what I needed (both Magnus #12 and Harbinger #1 with coupon for $5 each!), I believe the only pre-Unity books I still need are Harbinger #0 pink and Harbinger #4 with coupon, and I've slowly been filling in to the end of most of the VH1. Other than Valiant I really enjoy Archival style books like Marvel Masterworks and DC Archives, and read Exterminators, Fables, Y:tLM, Walking Dead, She-Hulk, Daredevil, Captain America, Batman, Detective, Atom, 52, Conan, Jonah Hex, and whatever else is on my pull list that I can't recall at a whim. Not sure what else I'm supposed to say here, so I'll call it a post.

Hola compadre...
if you are interested in filling in your gaps you will have no trouble doing it here.... the dudes here are always willing to help a VALIANT fan(atic)
like my man Dac always says:

stay awhile
(when I saw your screen name.... I couldn't help but think of Johnny Ringo... and the the quotes... just flooded into my head)
"Evidently Mr. Ringo's an educated man. Now I really hate him."
(not you JohnnyRnR )

Uerukamu!!! Welcome to our humble site, although it seems you may have the advantage of knowing somewhat of us, while we know little of you. Hang around and change that.
