:o

Hope this hits the market so I will finally know if a "nice enough" copy will ever be in my "pre winning the lottery" range..
:!: I was hoping I was the only one with that thought!

I was on Ebay yesterday looking at EW #4 9.8 sales. It looks to me like back in December you could get one for around $140ish and scrolling up toward more recent dates they appear to be going up up up to around $240ish. It's not particularly scientific method of reckoning but if you look you'll see what I mean.

That's pretty good news to a guy sitting on a pile of X-O #1s. :D

Congrats to whomever got the CGC 9.9 Bloodshot Salvation #1 Brushed Metal Variant! It just showed up on the 4/10/2018 CGC Census.

I would also gladly buy that from him/her. Happy a metal finally broke the 9.8 barrier.

Won't lie, my brushed metal books are at CGC right now getting graded. When Greg broke the news, I couldn't fly fast enough to the CGC website! It said my books were graded, so I quietly held my breath.

Well, I found out today, that the 9.9 that Greg mentioned isn't mine. Mine came back a 9.8.

Is it wierd to say that I feel let down by a 9.8??

Unfortunately I knew it wasn't yours when you said "at CGC right now getting graded". CGC doesn't add books to the census until after they're shipped back to the owners. The owners get a short window of time where they are the only ones to know about their newly graded books.

I once had the "single highest graded copy" of a (not Valiant) book that was CGC 9.6. There was a week when I knew that I had two CGC 9.8s coming to me from CGC but they weren't on the census yet. I probably could have sold the "single highest graded copy" for a lot more in that week than I could now that it's third-highest. I didn't even think about selling... but there is a lesson there. If someone buys the "single highest graded copy" of something and they're paying extra to get it... Why would the seller even be selling the best one known? It might be because they know something we don't.
