Is there a way to check the CGC census to see which signatures exist in sig series?

In particular, I am trying to figure out which signatures exist on the 14 signature series Archer & Armstrong 0 golds out there.

I own one of the CGC 9.8 SS A&A #0 (Gold) signed by Shooter and Layton.

I am aware of another CGC 9.8 SS A&A #0 (Gold) that was signed by Layton, and I sold a CGC 9.6 SS A&A #0 (Gold) that was signed by Shooter.

Not sure about the others, but I hope this helps somewhat.

There is not a way unless you have the serial numbers from the slabs. You can look them up by the serial numbers, but not from the CGC census.

What I am really trying to figure out if there are any with BWS's sig out there.

I submitted my "scribbled on or signed by Barry Windsor Smith" A&A 0 gold to CBCS for signature authentication. If it comes back a positive, I'd like to know what else is out there (if anything).

Hmm... if there was only one BWS signature series signing, then you could check whether the CGC census had any new A&A #0 Gold sigs in that timeframe.

My site, CGCdata.com will let you turn back the clock on the CGC Census.

I have no idea if there has been a BWS sig series signing, so I'm not sure.

It sounds like there is no easy way to find out the info I am looking for.

Yes, helpful! It confirms a trend I have noticed, which is A&A gold sig series books seemed to mostly be signed by Shooter or Layton. I haven't ever seen on signed by BWS.

It makes me wonder... IF my A&A comes back from CBCS with signature confirmed, will it be the first?

I sold a CBCS Verified Solar #10 and Solar #3 that were both signed by BWS.

However, I have NOT seen A&A #0 (Gold) signed by BWS yet. He doesn't like to sign for Signature Series via a CGC/CBCS witness, so until he changes his mind or is tricked somehow, the CBCS Verified route (OR CGC Qualified...) are pretty much the only routes.

Note that there are only 3 CGC 9.8 SS copies of this book (presently).

The last two 9.8 SS copies were NOT BWS.

That leaves only one remaining CGC 9.8 SS, which was also the only CGC 9.8 SS copy of this book for many years. If you can figure out who owned that copy, then you can figure out who signed it. My money is on Shooter for that one though.

Well, I guess we'll see what happens.

Maybe I'll hit the BWS jackpot, maybe I won't. Either way it will be interesting to see what the results are.

There are no Signature Series A&A #0 Gold between December 2008 and March 2009.

No. I have only (I recall) sold a CGC 9.8 and a CGC 9.6 SS copy of this book.

I still own the CGC 9.8 SS double sig, and have an extra CGC 9.8 Blue Label I'll might sell soon.

Well. I got a notice from CBCS that this book was finally shipping, and I looked it up. I am quite pleased with the results.

CBCS 9.6 / Verified Barry Windsor Smith signature.

Me too! I am thrilled. I thought that this book would come back 9.0/9.2 at best. It has some wear at the staples that I personally grade pretty harshly, but I guess CBCS does not.
