I thought it was funny too. Don't know if it would increase the value, probably not. Still, it was a head scratcher and a bit of a chuckle.

Totally. Luckily, chromium covers are pretty sturdy and I'm pretty sure you could get that signature off with a Magic Eraser without diminishing the condition too much if you were careful.
