What is the overall state of the early 90's Valiant market?
Hello Everyone!
I'm returning to collecting Valiant after almost 30 years away. I was wondering if someone could tell me about the overall state of the market for early 90's Valiant comics? I lived through the bubble of '93, and I know that collectibles like old Magic the Gathering cards have exploded in value over the last two years. So is the market for Valiant comics going through a similar increase in value? Are we in another bubble? I'd like to pick up a slabbed 9.8 Harbinger 1, but do the prices now seem realistic? Thank you!

- Especially "dude." And "balls." Those terms work in the tech industry.

Welcome! In my view, interest in early Valiant has waned since the Bloodshot movie came out. However, Harbinger 1 in 9.8 has blown up recently probably because of unconfirmed speculation. It might be at an all time high.

Thank you for the input! This helps a lot actually, I'll keep watching ebay and see what happens

I'm probably the last person who should pipe-up and leave my opinion as I don't frequent the prices of VH1 at all, but from my experience as the previous poster would be Harbinger 1. It continues to garner a much higher than normal demand on the secondary market.
Another one of course that is ALWAYS in high demand is Bloodshot 0 Platinum. It's out there, but you will definitely pay a pretty penny.

All collectibles are in a bubble right now since (no offense intended) folks like yourself have come out of the woodwork during the pandemic after being away for 30 years - Magic, sports cards, Pokemon, comics, sneakers, whatever.
The optimists here would say the prices are just going to keep going up. The pessimists would point out that "all time high" is never the time to buy.
