I’m not digging new X-O armour. That cod piece is incredibly distracting.

My young children can draw Ninjak better. Maybe DMG would hire them.

Only one is a new story. The rest are previews. This was normal for VEI too.

LMAO I can't WAIT to see how the virtue signalers try to defend this one and swear up and down how excited for it they are....

OMG, LMFAO look at X-O's helmet - wtf is that? They designed an armor where the helmet is literally orbiting his head.....

My post on this on FB:

“Is this a hoax?”

I really thought it was.

Seriously.

BTW, that last Savage 1 issue might be the worst in Valiant history.

You do that in a civilized, capitalistic society first by not financially supporting the things that exploit you, are low quality or prey upon people.

It's like Star Wars - the sheer number of people that hated the Last Jedi and what it represented, but then while espousing how awful it was went and paid to see The Rise of Skywalker. Pathetic.

Uprising? Upheaving more like it facepalm Y'all probably know by now how I feel about XO. I can't read the new book, it's god awful. I can't stand that anime simple *SQUEE* costume with a codpiece. It's nothing like XO or Aric. He'd never wear anything this godawful. This is not me, the seller of comics, this is me, the fan, looking at it and fuming.

With the product that is being pumped out by so many publishers nowadays, I expect LCS's to all go out of business and comics to instead be sold in small coffee shops to yuppies who wear berets and scarves in any weather while they consume lattes by small, gentle sips.

I don't know where you buy comics, but here we are selling a ton of product, by the big publishers and many indie publishers doing amazing stuff, like Boom, Vault, Aftershock and quite a few others having their best years. Valiant is D-E-D dead. And not just because they lost my vigorous support after the Dino disaster, their product since then has gone down the drain. These new, young adult friendly, non-continuity driven, consumer versions of the characters do not resonate with fans at all, in the world where the hottest selling indie comic is BRZRKR which is 100% brutal and dark.

It's a little weird to me that your knee-jerk reaction was that I was actually saying all LCS's would give way to sales in latte shops. I wasn't making a prediction as to the fate of the Local Comic Shop as much as a drastic commentary as a way to meet the ridiculous content of the current comic book market, Ed. :thumb:

This is an interesting observation. As in - we can't help but wonder what sort of sought after book might come out of this for completists down the road, stemming from low print runs off of the current rejection of the content.

Well,

a. Sarcasm does not translate well on internet forums. I just re-read the post and nothing in it indicates sarcasm, possibly because..

b. As a comic book shop owner, I may be a little more sensitive to statements about the industry i am relying on for my livelihood and been part of for close to 30 years.

Pretty much the only reason I haven't stopped. I put Unity 2000 #3 back on the shelf and missed out on Armorines #4. Don't want to do that again.

But really dread reading whatever lies within that godawful cover.

Will he, though? It’s not August yet and books get delayed.
