What was the original plan for Harbinger Renegade/Harbinger Wars II

So I'm rereading Renegade, and really enjoying it, but man it is super disappointing how nothing really came to fruition. Why were Solomon and Alpha dropped? Why were there enormous breaks between arcs? What was Jay's Psiot power? What was HW2 supposed to be before the last minute changes? Where did Rafer Roberts go? Were the Secret Weapons always going to play a role?

Agreed. I though Renegade was an interesting series and it’s been left hanging. In some ways though, I’m glad it hasn’t been ruined by the current clowns in charge (unlike, Bloodshot, XO, Psi Lords and soon you be joined by Harbinger and Savage).
I’d rather have nothing than sub standard trash with cartoony art.

I was kind of disappointed by 'Renegade' at the time, but I think it was just because I was comparing it to Dysart's perfect run. It's actually a solid series that was neutered by lackluster artwork, weird gaps between arcs, and of course the DMG buyout.

Yeah if you compare it to Dysart’s run then it’s not in that class but not many comics are at that level so there’s no shame there.
One day, when there’s new (ie better ones) editors in place, I’d like to see Alpha and Solomon return and develop that story thread.
