What was Magnus' harbinger power?
He's the son of a harbinger and acquired Torque's strength. What does Magnus add to the Harby pool? (I'm pretty sure they mention it in the early early issues but lets see if anyone here is thinking the same thing)

But to get this conversation back on track, I don't know of anything beyond strength and "physical toughness" and training, so I'd be very curious to know
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

He got the hardened skin and enhanced strength, same as his father. His son also got this same Harbinger ability. Some Harbinger got the same powers as their parents, and some got wildly different powers. Some even got powers plus...like Obadiah Konishi.

Torque, Pete's offspring, and Obadiah all have very similar powers. But who got wildly different powers?Ramses818 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:44:46 pm He got the hardened skin and enhanced strength, same as his father. His son also got this same Harbinger ability. Even the McHenry's have almost identical powers.
Re: What was Magnus' harbinger power?
Yes I am curious as well. Who had powers unlike their parents?

Re: What was Magnus' harbinger power?
You got it! He has his father's strength but I never remember Torque having hardened skin. In one early issue Magnus is at dinner with some Senators and one asks him how is able to smash robots. Magnus says he can harden his skin - it is just a matter of concentration. Sounds like a Harbinger ability to me.
Given that Shooter was so precise as to give Thumper spent Uranium weights I wouldn't be surprised if he ultimately meant the skin to be Magnus' (sort of) latent Harby ability

Re: What was Magnus' harbinger power?
It was never really mentioned, however, when Magnus' body is possessed by the Immortal Enemy he believes to be unstoppable, then he knocks out Slagger and Armstrong but is eventually knocked unconscious by Torque, meaning ultimately Torque's body is at least as strong and durable as Magnus' body. You can also see that they both have perfect skin under their ripped suits.jakgrimm wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 8:39:14 am You got it! Why didn't Obie or Torque get Leeja's powers? That would have made them both really strong.Sunlight on Snow wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:29:11 amYeah, you said you were curious. Re: What was Magnus' harbinger power?
I don't think Leeja had Harby powers, she was just sensative to the ectotheric energy like M'ree was. I mean it still doesn't mean it couldn't have been passed down but there's no precedent for that. Or did she have other powers later on?mramsterdam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 6:59:29 pmWhy didn't Obie or Torque get Leeja's powers? That would have made them both really strong.Sunlight on Snow wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 4:29:11 amYeah, you said you were curious. Seriously. I'm not joking. Here's to more of this inane banter, discussion of decades old comics, and people getting upset that decades old story lines are spoiled.
