Unity golden ticket books
Did we ever find out if all the Unity golden ticket books were found?
I used to search for them in back issue bins. But a few years ago, as my work-related travel began to dwindle, I kinda gave up on the search.

I don't even know what they might look like, so I'd probably miss it if I found it. Are there pictures?

Look for "gold ticket" in gold near the bar code on the cover. I think its the cover.
I won the mail in portion of the contest.

Did you keep your golden ticket or did you have to turn it in to be Valiant’s guest at the event?nonplayer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:57:30 amTheeBaldMoose wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:29:04 am I don't even know what they might look like, so I'd probably miss it if I found it. Are there pictures?

A board member did "cash" his in, but *SQUEE* I can't remember who it was. He did not have to turn the book in.magnus20009 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 12:31:33 pmDid you keep your golden ticket or did you have to turn it in to be Valiant’s guest at the event?nonplayer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:57:30 amTheeBaldMoose wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:29:04 am I don't even know what they might look like, so I'd probably miss it if I found it. Re: Unity golden ticket books
The mail in portion didnt require finding a gold ticket issue.magnus20009 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 12:31:33 pmDid you keep your golden ticket or did you have to turn it in to be Valiant’s guest at the event?nonplayer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:57:30 amTheeBaldMoose wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:29:04 am I don't even know what they might look like, so I'd probably miss it if I found it. I didnt have money for a flight, time off or money for a con also no pass port. I had to pass on everything except all the trades.
They would not allow me to give the tickets to my friend Jake Ingman.

Re: Unity golden ticket books
I am surprised that you couldn't give the ticket to someone else. Had you won SuperBowl tickets you would be able to give/scalp them to someone else.
Didn't the rich kid in Charlie in the Chocolate factory pay a bunch of people to unwrap chocolate bars so that the person who found the ticket would give it to him.

Re: Unity golden ticket books
I was happy to go down in history as a winner but ya I was disapointed I couldnt give them to another fan and make his day. Selling them never crossed my mind.magnus20009 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 10:45:29 pm I am surprised that you couldn't give the ticket to someone else. BewareCyclops found the Crain cover at Forbidden Planet.
If I'm not mistaken, the ones that weren't found have the barcode on the back cover, so it's not even like you could check them easily if they're bagged in bins.

Re: Unity golden ticket books
It'll be pretty cool if someday someone actually finds one. It would be a complete fluke if its a back cover barcode as you say, and can't be seen until the comic is taken out of a bag/board.kjjohanson wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 11:19:01 am BewareCyclops found the Crain cover at Forbidden Planet.

Re: Unity golden ticket books
We had one in our store. A member here got it in their pre-orders for the book sets we did for Unity #1.

Re: Unity golden ticket books
I'd venture to guess that they're sitting bagged and boarded in a long box somewhere with the owner having no idea whatsoever.
