Why is no one talking about Dr Tmrw #3?!? It was AMAZING
I guess a review thread under published issues is the traditional response, but my question kinda supersedes a mere review.
I don't think #3 is as good by itself, but the arc #1 to #3 makes the plot twist one of the biggest comic reading experiences I've ever had... congratulations Arbona!
This is what a comic should be.
I'm not saying it was flawless, not at all, but I am very very glad started reading this title. I passed up on #1 the day it came out and almost missed the boat

I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

Positive discussion about a current Valiant comic? An unfamiliar sound indeed.

Towe's art in #1 hinted at/gave away the big reveal of this issue.
It was fun for sure. A bit heavy on some classic super-hero tropes and too simplistic a 180 for all the Valiant heroes understanding of the situation.
Laugh out loud couple panels on the first page though.

Re: Why is no one talking about Dr Tmrw #3?!? It was AMAZING
Haven’t read it yet, but have seen good reviews for the issue. Overall this series has been a pleasant surprise. That’s in contrast to the Visitor, which looked interesting but has been a huge disappointment. Hopefully Final Witness is closer to Dr. T than Visitor.
Looking to the future (ha!) I wouldn’t mind a Future Force series featuring Neela, Ank, a version of Dr. Tomorrow, someone from the 4002 timeline, maybe an historical Unit-Y member and Beta-Max (last we saw of him was in Dead Drop where he was arguably the only decent thing to come out of that series).

So happy you liked it! In case you're interested, Monkeys Fighting Robots just posted a spoiler-filled interview with Alejandro about that twist and the series so far: https://monkeysfightingrobots.co/exclus ... -tomorrow/

I agree with you completely about the overly simplistic beats...I think everyone would... SPOILERS ... the part that bugged me most was that none of the assembled Valiant Heroes were injured. Not even one near miss that I recall. I understand why no one died... they're main characters. But really no injuries (except maybe exhaustion)?
Issue #1 had set up Hadrian as this really dangerous, really powerful nearly unstoppable badass. One hit and your dead, kinda dangerous. Then in #3...
Maybe the universe in issue #1 was the wimp universe
As for the hint, it's very cool that it was there, but I completely missed it. I remember you guys talking about it on the boards but didn't see it myself.

I am attempting to put a OTV/VCR Episode together for this book.
Might be a little late, but should be a good discussion.

Cover questions....
Cover A has been released
Cover B has been released
Cover B has been released as limited VIRGIN edition as well (700 copies). Probably to help support the retailers. I cannot find any information about any ratio but judging from how many different retailers have been selling it there probably wasn't any ratio or at least not a high ratio. Nice idea, anyway.
Cover C (by Walsh) has NOT been released, correct?
The Pre-Order cover is from Hannah Templer.

Information I was given is that moving forward for Valiant, A, B, and Pre-Order covers with an occasional incentive ratio variant will likely be the new thing.
Which is good, in that it allows us to collect multiple covers, but not to such a degree that we are paying $500 per month on 19 different covers lol!

Do you have any idea about the incentive ratio for the Momoko cover?
If they'll really stick to A's & B's only, then lets hope the horror movie homage covers for Shadowman will be moved from C to B.

Those two panels were pretty bad, but it’s obvious EW is jumping...superhero’s are always shown jumping as if they’re flying.Oxmyx wrote:Anybody else think Armstrong had really tiny hands in that panel? Re: Why is no one talking about Dr Tmrw #3?!? It was AMAZING
I think the last page in #3 gave you the reason for what you are saying, Dr T is using the Valiant Universe over and over again to try and defeat Hadrian. each time he jumps time/universes, he gets closer and closer to his end goal, his tactics more refined. What I am surprised by, no one questions these tactics, not even Ninjak, as he is usually the first to know he is being played by someone. I mean, he burst on the scene, already had tactics in hand, and they just accepted it. Sure, it worked, because he's used them dozens of times!Oxmyx wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 12:59:56 pmI agree with you completely about the overly simplistic beats...I think everyone would...
