It doesn't have any words.
Imagine black and white sketches of non-Valiant characters combined with Valiant titles. Scary goth girl on the cover is "Ninjak".

As much pain as the whole VIP situation caused me the Valiant collector in me LOVES this book. I pick up a copy anytime I see one for under $50. Not the easiest thing to counterfeit as they were hand numbered in two places.

I feel like you might still be upset that for about 10 years, I did the same thing with Unity #0 Red and got so many you offered me Psi-Lords for them.
I passed.

To answer the original post, no. VIP Sneak isn’t Valiant. Therefore, it can’t even be considered undervalued within the context of Valiant.

There's no typo. This is when VIP peaked.greg wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 1:18:10 pm In order to be "the most undervalued Valiant book" the VIP Sneak Peak would have to first be a "Valiant book". It isn't.
It's a Nikey shoe.
It's a Ferraro car.
It's a Butterthumbs candy bar.
It's a hamburger from McDonney's.
It's a bottle of Shoulder & Heads shampoo.
Most importantly, it's not even a Sneak PEEK. It's a Sneak PEAK.
Even the title is a knock-off of something real.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

The only way I see this changing from a curiosity to something increasingly worth money is if something is done with the characters that are illustrated (under different names, of course).

Is it a curiosity on par with the iBooks Magnus book or does its limited nature make it more valuable? They were numbered to 100, even though there was widespread skepticism on this board as to whether or not only 100 were printed, and there are several hoards of five or more. I cannot imagine that there is any collector appeal beyond our community.kjjohanson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 7:46:00 am The only way I see this changing from a curiosity to something increasingly worth money is if something is done with the characters that are illustrated (under different names, of course).
How much does the iBooks Magnus book sell for now?

Maxx Ashcans?! Lol gimme a break!syzhang28 wrote:I think this will end up closer to the early TMNT ashcans, the Maxx ashcans or error books with large enough print runs like Venom Lethal Protector. It feels like it's got low awareness but if that changes look out. Even now I can't find a copy under $100 if at all
There’s so many things wrong with this comparison I don’t know where to begin.

Re: Is the VIP sneak peak the most undervalued Valiant book?
I really don't know on what level the iBooks Magnus is considered a curiosity, so I can't say. But, I could see a case of that being in demand in the future if, for some reason, something were to be done in other media with Magnus. But the VIP book isn't really connected with the Valiant *characters* as much as it is with the formation of Valiant Entertainment. Since that is now controlled by DMG, and the Valiant fanbase seems to have shifted somewhat since then, I could see that the interest in the trashcan could wane. For new fans that come into Valiant and aren't familiar with Dinesh, they may not see the big deal behind the book.Chiclo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 9:08:36 amIs it a curiosity on par with the iBooks Magnus book or does its limited nature make it more valuable? There are fewer than 200 of these "in the wild" (much closer to 100), and they're an official Valiant comic with little or no resale value at the moment.
"most undervalued Valiant book"?
Compared to the VIP SNEAK PEAK broken tricycle for $40, this thing was like a free Ferrari.
EDIT ---------------------------------------
Sorry guys, there are 2,000 of the book above.
The rarer book is this one:

I hope you are right, Greg. I have a few of these stashed away... And the shipping box they came in. My wife makes fun of me for keeping a shipping box. I don't care. What’s the deal on the FCBD book?

Re: Is the VIP sneak peak the most undervalued Valiant book?
For that particular FCBD, Greg arranged a Valiantfans edition. A few of us pledged to cover the cost of a full box, and then individually arranged to get other people to split up the box. I'm sure there's an old thread somewhere that you can search for. I split a box with 4 or 5 other fans in the New York area. I still have some, and handed a bunch out at one of the NYC conventions around that time.

I kept the box that I was given to take home all of the Summer of Valiant trades. Mostly because the sticker on the side seems to confirm to me what the print run was for that book.lorddunlow wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 7:12:51 pmI hope you are right, Greg. Re: Is the VIP sneak peak the most undervalued Valiant book?
My memory is fading guys... this is the ValiantFans.com book that has 2,000 copies...
It is NOT the book that I was trying to remember with fewer than 200 "in the wild".
The rarer book I was thinking of has "900,000+ posts" on the cover... VERY few of these in the wild... fewer than 200, closer to 100.
I don't think I ever added this book to the database or price guide or anything.
If you have one, it's likely that you got it "free" when you bought a Secrets of the Valiant Universe Wizard Special Edition in the fundraiser for CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK HOSPITALS.

I was thinking that 100 copies were given away, but it looks like it was 50 copies. I'm pretty sure fewer than 50 other copies were ever distributed. I did include them as freebies in some of my comic sales, but I sell so rarely, there would definitely be fewer than 50 others...
... so I feel pretty safe to say that fewer than 100 are out there.

I'm good either way. I have both. Only one copy of the rarer one, though.greg wrote:
