Why though?! X-O has a new ongoing starting in March, with a completely different creative team. Not only that, but it’s supposedly features two stories with characters that will currently have ongoing books out already. Seems like a missed opportunity to spotlight other characters, established or new.

When we interviewed Dysart on VCR he mentioned he done something that was in a drawer at Valiant and thought it might be published next year, this must be it.

Yes I thought the same. On Twitter he said this was more about the art which I took to mean it’s possibly just minor story, not LADOTH level Dysart. I’m still intrigued on his take though.

while I agree this could be pushed towards more needing story lines and intros, put a pic of Vin Desiel on the cover, and average readers are going to pick it up. See Dysart/Brathwait's names on a story, and the more knowledgeable readers will pick it up. More people grabbing, maybe they are trying to continue to ignite sales in these two ongoings?

Figure Bloodshot will be just about done with their second arc when the #0 hits, maybe it gets a bump on #7. They're hoping to get another bump in May as well. XO will also be looking for another bump, and who better than to tie Dysart with that story line?

I'd be very happy for Dysart to write XO someday in the future, I bet he'd do something truly epic with it. Probz not gonna happen given his split with the company, but it would be great.
