I think this one of a kind book is dope. And....what if the Bloodshot movie really is done well and it is the jumping on point for new fans. We can dream. Congrats Moose.

Speaking of rarest Bloodshot books, what about the Voyager Bloodshot China book (not DMG). Rarer than Bloodshot Platinum?

What do we say is the rarest mainstream Bloodshot book? One of the Golds? Something from volume 1 falling in between 45 and 50? Bloodshots volume 1 villains weren't the greatest, but I recall some interesting stuff happening in the last arc of that volume with a large villain and Bloodshot's kids or something. Does anyone have opinions on Bloodshot keys that might become more sought after once you've removed Eternal Warrior #4 and Rai #0 from the equation?

A few ideas (in no order);

- Bloodshot Salvation #12 (LaRosa Vin Diesel Variant) - 1 known copy

- Bloodshot #25 (Hitch 1:50 Variant)

- Bloodshot #0 (Platinum Error) - 25(ish) known copies. Likely more, but not a lot more.

- Blooodshot #0 (Pink Prototype) - 1 known copy

- Bloodshot #14 (Grampa 1:25 Variant)

- Bloodshot #3 (Lozzi 1:25 Variant)

- Bloodshot USA #4 (Suayan 1:50 B&W Variant)

- Bloodshot (Hong Kong edition)

- Bloodshot Vol. 2 #3

- Eternal Warrior #4 - 1st appearance of Bloodshot

- Rai #0 - 1st full appearance of Bloodshot

- Bloodshot #1 (DMG Promo)

And a few others that slip my mind this early in the morning.

Solid list.

I think some of the covers for the end of the V1 series are pretty cool. I think Bloodshot 51 was one of the rarest regular books at 10k printed.

Bloodshot Golds probably deserve a mention.

Some store exclusives had 500 or less copies.

Acclaim Bloodshot Retailer Review

Bloodshot Newsstand Editions

Probably some VEI variants.

I think Bloodshot 25 1:25 Perlin Variant should be added as well. I love that cover.

Given the widespread speculator status of the comic market, I totally understand citing print run books - especially here where print run conversation has been synonymous with a publisher for close to 30 years.

But is anyone here actually a hard core Boodshot fan who can speak to the story and character keys at all? I am most curious about those books.

For example, I know that Bloodshot vol 1 #'s 38, 43, 49 & 50 had some interesting characters or story events pop up. Issue #34 is a solid archetype and formula for a great Bloodshot villain. Stuff like that.

What about the later volumes?

I understand that this diverts a bit from the thread in particular - "rare" not "important", but I'm just curious.

Yes, there are MORE than a few of us who can write books on Bloodshot’s character evolution by story arc, writer, and art team.

However, this thread is about rare books; not about how awesome Bloodshot Island was, or how questionable Bloodshot USA was. Still, I do recommend reading The Valiant #1-4, and also Book of Death The Fall of Bloodshot #1.

Among many other possible options.

Ok... I was just making sure that I wasn't missing anything about the vol.3 #3 regular issue!

I'm going to keep an eye out for the vol. 3 issue 3 1:25. That is a cool cover. Does anyone know the print run of this issue? I am just assuming that it is about 1000.

We don't exactly know, but it's much less than 1000. It was a hard book to find when it came out. I was buying all the variants early on, and this was an especially tough one. I'm not sure why.

How have I not seen those Hong Kong editions. I spent 13 years living there and never heard of them. I am through town each of the next three months so will ask the guys that run the two American comic book shops if they have ever heard of them.

I can’t imagine any of the chinese/manga comic book shops would have sold them.

I’ve been looking for these for 10+ years, including dealers in Asia and even a small comic and you show in Singapore. Nada. I’ve got none.
