Valiant Pins

Post by magnus20009 »

I am trying to put together a complete list of Valiant pins. Unfortunately some of the pictures in the topic hall of fame no longer load so it makes the task a little more difficult. I think I have a complete list but I am trying to find pictures of 2 pins to confirm there existence. The two pins I would like to see photos of to confirm if they exist are:

Solar red & white (radiation symbol) Note - different from black and yellow
Shadowman (logo - mirror/enamel door) Note - different from Black door and Gold Door

This is what I have for the list of pins. If I have missed any please let me know

What I think the master checklists are:

VH1 (21 Pins):

Armorines (#0 cover)
Bloodshot (jumping & fists)
Chaos Effect (logo)
Destroyer (flying)
Dr. Mirage (sitting)
Eternal Warrior (spiked blue fist)
Eternal Warrior (spiked gold fist)
Harbinger (flying bird)
Master Darque (legs crossed)
Ninjak (jumping in front of window)
Ninjak logo gold ("N" logo)
Rai (silhouette over red circle ie Rai #0)
Shadowman (black door)
Shadowman (gold door)
Shadowman (logo - mirror/enamel door) - looking for photo to confirm it exists
Solar red & white (radiation symbol) different from black and yellow - looking for photo to confirm it exists
Solar radation gold
Turok (dinosaur silhouette)
Turok (yellow silhouette)
Valiant (8 point)
XO Manowar (flying)

VH2 Acclaim Pins (4 Pins)
Acclaim Logo Pin (VH2) Top Half
Acclaim Logo Pin (VH2) Bottom Half
Solar black and yellow (radiation symbol) - 1999 WizardWorld chicago
XO Manowar (red X circle)

VEI (27 pins - all by fan sets)

Bloodshot - standing
Eternal Warrior - standing
Faith - standing
Ninjak - standing

Don't forget that the NYCC 2017 pins had rare gold versions

There are some additional early VEI pins, and some available on their store now. I can take some photos of mine this weekend. There are some Fansets pins that I'm not sure were ever produced, at least, I couldn't purchase them (like the Roku pin of on their site). Perhaps they had an extremely low number that were produced and sold out within a week or two. I've tried to contact them about it, and they just reply "Speak to Valiant about producing more pins!"

The red and white Solar pin exists. I'm not sure what the 2nd Shadowman pin looks like.

I would like to see a scan of the rare 2017 NYCC pins to see if they exist as the regular master set was limited to 25 and the individual packets of pins were limited to 75 each so if there were gold versions they would have to be super super rare.

The non-NYCC fanset pins I got from their website and a few were out of stock. I only have 2 of them so I assumed since they were listed on their website with photos they were all made but perhaps not.

I only have 12 of the 25 VH1 and VH2 Acclaim and only 2 of the non-NYCC fanset pins. I have the 2018 NYCC set coming in the mail but do not have the 2017 NYCC set.

I would like to put together a master set of all pins if possible

I think this was a regular all-metal tin/aluminum button-style circle pin, rather than an official enamel pin (from Planet Studios). Larger, similar to the Watchmen smiley face pin from the movie.
I don't know what company made it, but it would probably be easy to fake today with all the online custom companies.

Solar was just the standard radiation symbol upside-down.

So it wasn’t an official pin and can be scratched off the list as it is a button/different product.

Does anyone recall what the Shadowman (logo mirror/enamel door) referred to?

I don't remember the red-and-white Solar being official, but it might have been a first attempt by Valiant before working on the enamel pins with Planet Studios.
Unless I'm mistaken, the Shadowman logo mirror/enamel would be black and mirror-finish, rather than black-and-white. Both of those are different than the all gold Shadowman logo.
SonicDan's photo shows the black-and-white Shadowman logo at the bottom, but I think there was a black-and-mirror (instead of white) version. :hm:
The "mirror effect" would be like the X in the red X-O pin in the photo.

I picked up an extra of the 2017 sets when I handled exclusives for the board last year, but there have never been any takers. It's still around somewhere.

Will take the NYCC set as per PM

Would be great to get photos if possible of the Shadowman (logo mirror/enamel door) to see that it really exists and confirmation if VEI is right or if pins are missing/included but not made.

For VH1 and Acclaim

22 of the 24 (dropped the red and white solar botton) VH1 pins (missing Shadowman (logo mirror/enamel door)) and Ninjak Gold

Image

The four gold pins (three above but this has the Ninjak pin)

Image

For VEI

Fanset pins (scans taken from their website so I assume produced

NYCC 2017 and NYCC 2018 Pin Sets

Thanks for putting this together magnus20009!

Call me crazy, but wasn't there a VH1 Bloodshot Logo/Text pin? (Not to be confused with the Fanset one) I'll need locate my pins for a pic.
