Writer Vita Ayala explains why now is the right time for the Valiant Comics hero to step into her own series for the first time.

Thanks for posting this. Love the art, not sure about the direction of the series as yet.

I change my mind daily re: picking this series up. At the moment I'm just craving some Valiant comics in continuity - despite HWII, I DO like that we have at least a ripple from that godawful event spanning out. Other events haven't had that consistently (I'm looking at you 4001 A.D., Armor Hunters, Stalinverse, Book of Death).

the art team is great. I don't know Vita. She says the right things. This and BS Rising Spirit are my gauges for the new regime. I hope they hit it out of the park. Livewire has gone from Harada crony to someone I care about most in the Valiant universe. HW2 wasn't good. but I kinda get why she might've shut down the world the make a point. but I think it's up to Vita to clarify that and where she can go forward. This is a tough writing task. She's got to make up for the faults of others and live up to the potential presented by others.

I found it out of character for her but I do like that it adds drama to the universe. And who's to say, with certainty, what her 'character' is? People, even superheroes, can over react and have lapses in judgement.
