I bought a Superman book... Action Comics #21

Image

Pretty cool, huh? :thumb:

You're probably asking yourself... what does this book have to do with Valiant, and why did you post it in General VALIANT Discussion section?

There's a panel in this book that I figure has something at least worth mentioning in reference to Valiant.

It's this one...

Superman, Robot Fighter 1940 A.D.

It was more than 20 years before this came along...

... and more than 50 years after 1940 when we got this:

I’ll bet Superman wishes he had a battle tunic too.

That's interesting. But, how did you know that panel of Superman being a "robot fighter" was in there? I am assuming you didn't open the case.

So, you must have sought out this comic because of that panel? If so, pretty cool to track it down.

Actually, there was always a Valiant connection. The commentary in Magnus #0 says that it was the first Valiant superhero story created, and the very first page of that very first story has Superman at the bottom. :thumb:

If that is Superman representing "D.C."..... Is that The Thing Superman is fighting representing "Marvel?" Does the base of the game say "OLD COMICS?"

:D I think it's Superman vs. The Thing on a (hologram) toy for kids called "Holo Comics".

"Holo Comics" makes much more sense.
