Anyone going to NC Comicon?
Looks like Valiant made a last minute schedule change, or maybe it was already planned to be there, dunno.
More importantly, they will be having another Ninjak VS. The Valiant Universe panel.
I know many of us are getting sick of the Ninjak vs VU start/stop/on/off hype, but I find this odd that after NYCC and the basic failure at their panel to get anything up, that they would continue with this panel here in NC. I would have assumed that the panel names could/would have been changed in time, or at least taken down, prior to comic book review sites reporting on it. Maybe not though.
Are there any of you that are planning to go to this?
Does anyone have more information about Valiants plans?
Is it disgusting of me to speculate/hope that this could be it? Actual news/video?

First, join Valiant on Saturday, November 11th at 3 pm ET for the Valiant Presents NINJAK VS. THE VALIANT UNIVERSE – Screening and Q&A!
I dunno, maybe they cleared up whatever legal hurdles were holding it back.

This was a late addition and recently announced. Sometime in the middle of October. I am considering attending but have not made a firm commitment yet.

You should go. Free golds, the possibility of a screening....Kreton wrote:This was a late addition and recently announced. Sometime in the middle of October. I am considering attending but have not made a firm commitment yet.

Someone should go to this and ask about what the hell is going on with Ninjak VS... and also about what their plans are for reprinting older material, outside of Ninjak.

Re: Anyone going to NC Comicon?
Attended the show today and hung out with Dinesh and it was awesome!!!! Dinesh is so excited about everything to do with these characters and it's so infectious! They showed the first 10 minutes of the first Ninjak vs. VU episode and another clip about 2-3 minutes long of a bar scene with Archer & Armstrong, and lastly the scene where Aric transforms into X-O Manowar. I totally geeked out watching these characters we have loved for so long come to life. I will be forever appreciative of everything Dinesh and his team has done to make these characters live again. I teased Dinesh several times that VEI is the Shamdasani-verse.
Michael Rowe was there but charging $30 for autographs and I'm too old to pay someone to sign their barely legible name.
Pictures coming in just a minute.

Re: Anyone going to NC Comicon?
Salesfish were selling their variant of Ninja-K #1 and I had Dinesh sign. It’s my first “1st signed” book. Got the Bloodshot Salvation Gold for attending the panel.
And at age 44, something I’ve wanted for years has been to meet Rick Veitch of Swamp Thing acclaim and get a sketch and just moped on both these pieces. He and his wife were so incredibly nice and said it was there first time in NC. Dinesh and I were both in awe meeting him.

They did not allow video and had a fellow stalking the aisles monitoring.

Re: Anyone going to NC Comicon?
Salefish Comics, (my lcs) Ninja•K #1 store exclusive along with the Bloodshot Salvation Gold that Valiant gave away after Saturday's panel, were the only highlights from my haul. I did pick up a Bloodshot Salvation variant from the warped tour (only 300) that was pretty cool...
