FAITH AND THE FUTURE FORCE #1
Written by JODY HOUSER Art by STEPHEN SEGOVIA and BARRY KITSON Cover by JELENA KEVIC-DJURDJEVIC

A SPECTACULAR SUMMER EVENT! Every second counts when acclaimed writer Jody Houser (Mother Panic, Star Wars: Rogue One), explosive artist Stephen Segovia (NINJAK, Action Comics), comics legend Barry Kitson (Fantastic Four), and special surprise guests push Faith into a centuries-spanning fight for existence alongside the greatest heroes of the Valiant Universe…past, present, and future! Faith “Zephyr” Herbert – former member of Unity, current Harbinger Renegade, and Los Angeles’ #1 superhero – is the universe’s last, best chance at survival! Centuries from today, a devious artificial intelligence has unleashed a blistering attack on the very foundations of time…one that is unwriting history from beginning to end! Now, with her options exhausted, Neela Sethi, Timewalker – the self-appointed protector of what is and will be – has returned to the 21st century to recruit Earth’s greatest champions of today and tomorrow to oppose this existential threat…and she needs Faith to lead them! But why Faith? And why now? This July, fly to the farthest edges of the future in a death-defying race to save time itself, as Faith leads the charge alongside Valiant’s greatest heroes…and becomes a new legend for the ages! I'm "excited" that Shadowman is coming back. Also like the "cool" sillyness of the Ninja book.

And that's it, sadly. I wish I had more stuff to look up to, but I really do not care. Not feeling the V. :|

Perhaps with a different writer, but hey, you can't love everything, right? The addition of the Future Force... I don't know. If Valiant is going to rehash the past, I'd rather see GK characters used in some way rather than the things I liked least about the old Valiant - like a day off for Bloodshot and the future force.
Wow, what!? I 100% disagree with that. Who have you been talking to? :? I think it's gotten better with every arc, the guys at OTV and Get Valiant seem to really like it, and it's stayed pretty consistent in the ratings at ComicBookRoundUp. I too would love to see a time-spanning adventure starring Solar, Magnus, and Turok, but it's not gonna happen dude. At least not any time soon. Maybe Sovereigns will be as bad as every other DynaKey book and they'll finally lose the rights. Regardless, apparently the rights are tangled up in many different ways, but that would probably be a step in the right direction.

I'll put 4 to 5 of these fellas :o next to all the titles and upcoming series.

Faith and the Future Force means Neela and Ank will be back and I think this could be a really cool all-female trio.

ETERNITY update: Based on the latest news on ValiantUniverse.com it'll definitely be a limited series only. I was hoping for more especially since they said it'll not be Divinity IV.

I'm thinking the "Classified" book is Harbinger/Imperium related by Josh Dysart, and the reason it's classified for now is because it relies heavily on the events that take place in Harbinger Renegade #5.

So for the coming year, no books announced by FVL, VDitti, Dysart, or Asmus. :( I guess things are changing a bit at VEI.

Eternal Warrior: Awakening by Venditti is coming out next month. Consumers didn't really support the last book FVL did for Valiant. Dysart is supposedly working on something for Valiant to come out soon.

I know how you feel man, we gotta stay positive though. It sucks that it's still a year away, hopefully we won't have to wait until December (March Solicits) to find out the creative team behind the new ongoing book...

That would make the most sense, but you never know. :hm:

What if they are screwing with us and Classified is Shadowman? :o
Giving us an exact date for something that's still 12 months away is pretty crazy - even for Valiant.

I certainly don't think that what I just said is very likely. It'd be too good to be true.

I'm actually more happy with it being 12 months away... rushing the book is what led to some of the poor quality before (remember the 11th and 12th issues?) which then led to the Peter Milligan run (that I think somewhat ruined the character). I'm not confident about it even being a year out (especially if the plan is to continue with the Magpie design), but I'd rather see them take their time in the hopes that they disprove my pessimism.

The description just didn't catch me that much, and I generally don't like the cosmic stuff that much (and some of the character names and designs seem very hokey to me). I'll certainly at least try it though and hopefully it'll be great since I have low expectations :P

I'm kind of hoping this is the case... Dysart has been working on something for a while now, and I really hope its not so far away that they can't even announce it as part of the 2017 'ICON's' promotional theme!
