Take a peek, you gotta read this!

Took a walk in the snow in NYC today :) to Midtown Comics for a goof.

While I was there I went to the counter to check the "wall books" behind it when to my amazement I notice 2 guys asking about the Valiants on the wall. One was a Harbinger# 4 the other a Solar# 10, and i'd personally say from what I could see, they were about 9.2 grade.

The guy buys them both on the spot,...ready?

Harbinger# 4 $25.00...it had a price of $30.00 on it
Solar#10 $25.00...it had a price of $35.00 on it

Guys, these Valiant books are gettin' nuts again...wow

The speculators are moving again!!! Seriously though, as we all know, there is a resurgence of Valiant Comics, particularly VH1. They were a quality book with excellent art...and they had a "focus" about them, the universe concept was something that Malibu's Ultraverse and even Defiant could not replace. Also, we have Greg to thank for keeping the torch burning....this website is the reason I went back and started collecting Valiant again. That's why prices are going up, and Overstreet has recognized that.

I have enjoyed sitting back and reading the posts on this board. But I have to comment on this..

I don't know if you guys noticed, but ckb over in the "Bragging Rights" topic stated that he was at Midtown Comics and picked up the Harbinger and Solar for $50. It just seems like everyone was in the same place at the same time. Was it "Peter Parker" who almost fainted when "ckb" payed for those two issues?

Boy, I am so glad that I managed to embarrass myself on my first post. Serves me right for not scrolling all the way down on ckb's post. Ha Ha. I fell for it.

I think I will go back to trying to cure cancer instead of trying to figure out who was where when and with whom. :D
