X-O Manowar #1 (2012) Second Printing ERROR survived...
X-O Manowar #1 (2012) Second Printing released in June 2012 was originally printed with "First Printing" inside the front cover.
The error was caught by VEI when the sample of finished books were sent for final approval. According to Fred Pierce, they were destroyed.
It was rumored, but there was no proof.
I've been given proof:

My assumption is that it would have been someone "valiant enough" to defy Fred... but maybe only that one time.nycjadie wrote:

I can see the "SECOND" on the front cover in the barcode in this picture, so the front cover is probably identical to the corrected versions.greg wrote:

Egad, a base tone denotes a bad age!

So does that mean there could be possibly more existing in the wild, or are we looking at what could possibly be the only one in existence?

The surprise in the panel next to it, sums up everything.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

I seriously doubt if only one copy was saved. My guess is that handful or two got set aside.THEWGZK wrote:So does that mean there could be possibly more existing in the wild, or are we looking at what could possibly be the only one in existence?
I don't know about "in the wild". They wouldn't have been distributed through Diamond, so it seems unlikely that they're hiding like the Bloodshot Platinums were/are.

My 2nd says 2nd. For good measures, I checked my other X-O #1 reprints - my 3rd says 3rd and my 4th says 4th.

Checked all my raw 2nds and they all say seconds.
Except can't check the slabbed ones.

Looks like the first one of these to come to market sold for $306. http://www.ebay.com/itm/142525216903" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm sure there are more, but at this point only two copies are known... mine and that one (not mine).

Re: X-O Manowar #1 (2012) Second Printing ERROR survived...
That is Awsome. Will CGC recognize the error if you get it graded? If so... Does it describe the error at the top of the slab? Or... Does it simply say error edition?
