Also in this story:
Although the last series, Quantum and Woody Must Die! finished in 2015, Shamdasani confirmed they’ll return in a new ongoing. “We’ve been waiting a long time to do it. We have the right story, it’s amazing.”
I'm looking forward to both the media appearances and the new ongoing.

This is very exciting ... I think Q&W have great potential as a TV series.

Is Dan Harmon not the perfect guy to write for a Quantum and Woody TV series??

Anyone who has watched Community ... and Rick and Morty ... knows this guy excels at wacky, science fiction comedy with political and cultural underpinnings. Q&W would be right up his alley

In Dinesh I trust.

And I think Dinesh knows exactly what makes these characters special ... and knows how to maximize their potential. I think he will work his arse off to make sure the right people are on the right projects

I also like the tease that Q&W will be in the Ninjak series ... I was NOT expecting them to show up in that series.

Well, I seriously hope it happens... but we were once told that "people would be shocked at how far along the Bloodshot movie is."

So while I wish it all the best and am eager to see it, I also know that sometimes things unwind unexpectedly. That's show business, as they say.

Let's be fair though John Wicks success kinda messed with Bloodshot since the directing team went to work on the sequel and it's already announced as a third on in the works. It probabaly was farther along until they set it aside to wait for good directors

Fingers crossed for this one. I've always enjoyed VEI's Q+W, and a high-quality regular TV series could be great if the comedy elements are genuinely funny

I know it's typecasting, but when I picture a Q&W TV show, this is what I see...

Woody already has the blue shirt even! Just needs the blue sunglasses!

nice choices

I think quantum should be a little bit bigger and more brawny ... Maybe David Ramsey(Diggle on Arrow)

But thats a great choice for woody. Joel McHale is also a popular choice for woody also .. but I think that guy might be a better choice -- He is little bit younger

I've always thought that a young Sam Rockwell would be perfect as Woody, especially his Zaphod Beeblebrox persona. Overconfident, preening, narcissistic and oleaginous all rolled into one.

Well, he does need to seriously re-invent himself. He would really have to be a higher strung type of guy, a hustler of sorts. I've met Heder briefly, and he seems pretty laid back to me

Plus they directed the Civil War airport fight.

Q&W is one of my fav series and I'd love to see it back in the fold. Aside from 1 arc since the reboot I think the storytelling has been pretty solid.

I'd happily hand over my wallet for an ongoing.

Any TV news is super exciting for the company. Seems to be a good time to be a Valiant fan :thumb:

Sam Rockwell could have replaced Brad Pitt in any movie he was in and would have made it ten times better.

Not Twelve Monkeys. Pitt was brilliant. But that's an interesting assertion.

Yeah, to each his own - but that's an oddly negative one. I don't get gushy about Brad Pitt by any stretch, but I agree he was really great in 12 Monkeys (and Fight Club, and Inglorious Basterds).

Don't know if any of you guys have seen 'Fury' - damn good film in its own right, but he's very good in that too. Everyone is to be fair.

If the actors really understand the Quantum & Woody roles, then I vote for experienced but generally unknown actors.

When there is no "baggage" of previous characters, then actors can "be" the role.

Affleck Batman may be a good Batman, but he's still Affleck.

Quantum & Woody could (should?) be two guys who we only know as Quantum & Woody. :thumb:

I'm all for that. Samuel Jackson is essentially the same guy in every movie, just with a different name and costume.

Has anyone see Casual on Hulu? Tomy Dewey, who plays Alex (the male lead) would be perfect for Woody I think. His character on that show reminds me a bit of Woody.

That could work. I think of Woody as a bit younger than him, though.
